Your Mission in Action The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment in and around the pool area. This includes monitoring swimmers, enforcing safety rules, and maintaining order on the deck and surrounding areas. The role requires adherence to all Agency policies, licensing standards, and federal, state, and local regulations regarding pool safety and sanitation. Additionally, the Lifeguard must be prepared to respond promptly to emergencies, administer first aid or CPR as needed, and contribute to the overall safety and well-being of all youths. Responsibilities Ensure the pool, deck, and surrounding areas are safe, clean, and free of hazards by conducting regular inspections, enforcing safety protocols, and performing routine maintenance and cleaning Maintain a thorough understanding of safety, rescue, and first aid procedures, and respond immediately to emergencies using appropriate protocols to provide necessary care Oversee pool operations during assigned shifts, remaining vigilant and on duty until properly relieved by another lifeguard. Foster a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to Agency policies and licensing standards.
