Blandford Nature Center- a nature-centric 501c3 Nonprofit Organization in West Michigan Our mission is to educate, engage and empower our community to become stewards of the natural world that sustains us. Within 143 acres of forested hills, grassy meadows and picturesque wetlands, Blandford Nature Center remains a hidden woody oasis just outside the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since 1968, we've been host to thousands of inspiring educational experiences each month as school groups, families and community members enjoy our 4 miles of trails, wildlife rehabilitation center, and organic farm. As a team dedicated to the preservation of this site and spreading awareness, we value the environment around us and hope to inspire those who visit to help protect what remains of Michigan's wild lands. Each week, we offer seasonally-appropriate and nature-centered programs for the public to come "learn by doing." Check out our upcoming events at www.blandfordnaturecenter.org/events or just stop by during our regular business hours (M-F 9-5, Sat 12-5) to enjoy our resident birds of prey and the variety of plants and wildlife you may encounter on the trails.
