What You'll Do:
As an Electromechanical Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery. You'll work with both mechanical and electrical systems across high-speed stamping presses, cold forming machines, and automated equipment in a dynamic production environment.
Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment using hand tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability
Diagnose and resolve issues using technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement
Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE
Support process improvements and participate in ongoing training
What You'll Need:
Technical degree in a related field, journeyman's card, or 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Proficiency in reading complex electrical schematics and code books
Broad knowledge of electrical codes, electronic controls, and electrical theory
Experience with line setups, inspections, and electrical testing equipment
Strong math skills (fractions, percentages)
Nice to Haves:
Experience with PLCs and drives (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
Familiarity with AC/DC motors, HVAC, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
Experience with welding/torch equipment and precision measuring tools

Position Summary:
The Field Service Engineer - High Frequency is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of high-powered, water-cooled high frequency induction heating and melting systems. This includes power supplies, coils and inductors, furnaces, refractory systems, water pumping and cooling systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, and PLC/HMI controls.
Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain high frequency induction heating and melting systems.
- Work with AC circuitry (480 to 3000+ VAC) and DC circuitry (680 to 3000 VDC).
- Complete and submit service reports, time, and expense documentation after each assignment.
- Travel to customer facilities as required.
- Train less experienced personnel.
- Handle customer calls and assist with technical documentation.
- Support Service Department staff as needed.
- Assist in assembly or test departments when required.
- Provide customers training.
What you need to be successful:
- Associates degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics Technology, or applicable military experience.
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, Hi-pots, frequency generators).
- Ability to read blueprints and understand electronic controls and circuits.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively
- Valid U.S. Passport or the ability to obtain one.

Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance - Install and repair industrial fabrication and machining equipment (including but not limited to Water Jets, Lasers, Press Brakes, CNC Machining). Possess deep knowledge of electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and CNC programming systems.
Technical Diagnostics - Troubleshoot machinery using schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Testing of wiring, switches, and relays. Perform hydraulic component testing. Repair and/or replace faulty components to ensure full operational readiness.
Field Service Expertise - Perform on-site repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance, ensuring timely response to customer needs. Be available for occasional emergency repairs during off-business hours.
Customer Engagement - Work directly with customer representatives to verify installation requirements and provide expert guidance on equipment operation, performance, and safety.
Training & Development - Conduct training sessions (both in person and virtual) for customer teams, Authorized Service Centers (ASCs), and Baileigh Technicians to enhance technical knowledge and maintenance capabilities.
Technical Support - Assist customers via phone or video troubleshooting for return/repair issues, ensuring efficient problem resolution and minimal downtime.
Revenue Growth - Support revenue generation through service engagements, installations, and training services that enhance the customer experience and create long-term partnerships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to identify technical opportunities, improve service processes, and provide feedback on product performance in the field.

The Field Service Technician is primarily responsible for scheduled and remedial (break-fix) service on Small to Medium UPS, Power Distribution Units & Battery system products (2-120KVA) serviced by Vertiv, commensurate with appropriate classroom and on-the-job training. Job Description
Responsible for providing professional service and support for Huber Technology customers by performing field service installations, start up, repair and maintain HUBER waste water equipment. The Field Service Specialist, Industrial-Mechanical Repair Emphasis will work within the guidelines established by the Director of Service and/or President and will follow established procedures when representing Huber Technology.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities of a Field Service Specialist:

Responsible for installing, calibrating, configuring, testing, maintaining, evaluating, troubleshooting, pre-commissioning, commissioning and repairing as necessary, waste water equipment manufactured by, but not limited to Huber Technology Huber equipment, pumps, motors, valves, polymer stations, etc.
Perform scheduled maintenance or repair of the equipment and all other associated equipment
Perform unscheduled maintenance or repair of the equipment and all other associated equipment
Perform installation of the equipment at customer sites as well as conducting pre-installation assistance
Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation to prepare for startup or service.
Responsible for on-site training of customer personnel to Huber Technology standards.
Build customer relationship in a professional manner through solution-oriented communications and service, providing both on-site and telephone support.
Work with engineering, project management group, spare parts group and management to resolve escalated problems
Provide written reports to the Director of Service on all activities carried out on site and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
Provide expense reports to the Director of Service on all expenses occurred out on site and completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
Make technical recommendations to maintenance technicians and or treatment plant operators.
Work closely with the Director of Service, Aftermarket Sales Team and Operations Team, to ensure that site work is carried out in the required order, for completion by the required time.
To develop and maintain at all times due regard for safe working practices on site and to report any breaches of health & safety manners to the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator and/or the Director of Service.
To undertake any appropriate technical activities that may not be related directly to site, as may be allocated to you from time to time by the Director of Service.
To ensure that materials, tools and equipment provided to you to carry out your work are kept safe, secure and in good order.
Ensure all tools and equipment is relevant, up to date and calibrated in accordance with Huber Technology requirements.
Assist when needed in manufacturing or engineering with customer projects as well as unit refurbishment or replacement at the customer site or Huber Technology manufacturing facility.
Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of the equipment
Educate the customer on basic operation of their equipment
Assist when needed in the parts department with recommending spare parts and wear parts to existing and new customers
Perform all welding activities that are required in the shop and/or customer site
To take responsibility for ensuring that all necessary travel, medical and associated documentation is valid and kept up to date and to inform the Field Service Manager in adequate time to procure any replacements
Provide in-depth troubleshooting via phone with customers in the field
Provide technical assistance to all representatives of Huber Technology, Inc. in the field
Assist customers with via phone and in the field with on application and process related issues
Assist the Director of Service, V.P. of Operations and Aftermarket Sales Consultants with identification of warranty vs. non-warranty issues
Maintain a professional appearance towards customers on the telephone and by correspondence as well as in person
Take responsibility for ensuring that all necessary documentation is valid and kept up to date and to inform the Director of Service in adequate time to procure any replacements.
Uniforms are provided by Huber Technology, Inc.; Field Service Specialists are required to be in uniform at all times during their normal work. It is extremely important that the Field Service Specialist maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times
Provide technical support to other Field Service Specialists in the field
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

III. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
An Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent mechanical-industrial repair/service work experience, minimum 1-2 years in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Wastewater experience a plus

Must have attitude and aptitude to develop a high level of customer service skills, as well as the ability to respond quickly to service calls with good time management and planning

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs all services related to inspections, maintenance, repair troubleshooting, training and start-up of equipment sold to customers.
Recognizes any problems that might occur during an installation and address them to the customer or one of our engineers to figure out how to resolve the issue.
Recognizes potential problems with existing equipment and develops solutions with the ability to adapt to various engineering designs, applications, and process criteria.
Requires vast knowledge of running different types of products on our machinery and ability to recognize problems that may occur.
Reads and understands wiring and function diagrams while working on equipment.
Includes up to 90 percent travel time and work on weekends when needed.
While in the office, answers phone calls and rebuilds customer actuators.
Conducts training classes and answers customer questions.
Assumes leadership role during large installations.
Additional duties as assigned.
FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trains other company field service technicians. Checks to ensure customer facilities are suitable for installation of our machinery. Manages complex and special customer projects. Works as assigned to cover absences and balance the workload at busy times of the year.
Requirements:
Associate degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or five to ten years of experience in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of packaging machinery.
Ability to communicate with customers in a diplomatic and professional manner. Demonstrate a high level of leadership skills.
Technician must be proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft office.
Should have a valid driver's license and must be insurable.
Requires a passport to travel outside of the United States.
Located within 1 hour of a major airport.
Ability to climb ladders and platforms averaging 15 feet high.

What You'll Do:
As an Electromechanical Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery. You'll work with both mechanical and electrical systems across high-speed stamping presses, cold forming machines, and automated equipment in a dynamic production environment.
Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment using hand tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability
Diagnose and resolve issues using technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement
Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE

What You'll Need:

Design electrical control systems in light of the material bid and customer specifications, utilizing computer assisted drawing techniques. Incorporate electrical demands that are not directly related to the control into the product design.
Prepare product Bills of Materials.
Design packaging for freestanding electrical control system and control systems that are installed in pump stations.
Maintain current knowledge of Underwriters Laboratories and NEC codes, applying this knowledge to product design, as required.
Obtain electrical control component prices; select appropriate components in light of product specifications, component price, and component performance.
Contact customers, sales representatives, and vendors for required information relating to product design.
