Current valid driver's license (without any DUI's, reckless driving citations, or more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years) Physical Requirements: Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25 kg (55 lbs); able to work in harsh environments. 2-5 years' experience in drilling or mining (e.g., Driller Helper). Must pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening. Clean criminal background check. Willingness to travel and work at various mine sites if required. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in remote or underground locations. Must be able to work flexible shifts and adapt to varying field conditions. We are seeking experienced Core Drillers to support diamond core drilling operations in remote field environments. This role requires strong technical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a drill crew. Successful candidates are adaptable, safety-focused, and committed to high-quality drilling results under changing field conditions. Qualifications 18+ months of practical experience operating diamond core drilling equipment Minimum 50 full shifts running a diamond core drill Proficient in setup, operation, troubleshooting, and shutdown of core drilling equipment Strong understanding of drilling safety practices, including helicopter-supported operations where applicable Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to difficult or changing situations Dedicated to job quality, accuracy, and safe work practices Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work without direct supervision Capable of mentoring or assisting less experienced drillers as needed Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain diamond core drilling equipment safely and efficiently Ensure accurate drilling, core recovery, and quality control Anticipate operational needs and support efficient drilling progress Complete daily drill shift reports, including consumable usage, hourly activities, hole depth, and recovery data Assist with basic equipment maintenance and upkeep Maintain professionalism when interacting with crew members and clients Work Environment & Physical Requirements Remote fieldwork in rugged terrain and variable weather Long shifts and rotational schedules Physically demanding work requiring sustained attention and endurance Additional Information Compensation: Pay based on experience level This position is not an immediate hire.
