Example Of What A Blasting Production Technician does

  • Ensured that permits for each assignment were current and adhered to safety guidelines.
  • Complete necessary Job Safety Assessment forms Pressure wash industrial equipment, structures, and marine vessels (storage tanks.)
  • Assist air machine and vacuum truck drivers in reversing and while driving thru tight spots around refinery.
  • Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Read work orders and collected all basic equipment to perform tasks.
  • Use of various hand tools.
  • Identify, remove, pack, transport, or dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Clean with high pressure water (10,000-20,000)psi.
  • Clean parts with the use of Aluminium oxide 180 grit.
  • Fill out JSA and work permits.
  • Wear the proper PPE at all times while performing the job task.
  • steel mills, power plants, refineries, chemical plants, etc.)
  • Ensured proper OSHA procedures were followed and completed work in a timely and safe manner.
  • Manned both 10k and 20k shotguns as well as frexlanced during daily operations.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as vacuum truck, line jet, man lift, and Bobcat.
  • Disassembled, prepared, loaded and maintained blasting equipment systems, including mechanical modifications, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Vacuum / Liquid truck operator.
  • Transport Class B trucks/Setup and operate equipment onsite.
  • Use machinery to clean tubes inside of heat exchangers.
  • Job requires the use of all safety equipment - p.p.e.
