This role involves manual handling of high-pressure lances and hoses, requiring precision, safety awareness, and physical stamina. The technician must adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow company and client procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations. Work is often performed in confined spaces, at heights, and in various industrial environments such as refineries, chemical plants, fossil and nuclear power plants and manufacturing facilities. Tasks include setting up testing rooms, labeling cups, preparing and serving samples, and cleaning up. * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by documenting samples, stocking supplies, performing routine cleaning tasks, and calibrating equipment. * Analyze and report results of small-scale routine sensory studies using sensory software and Excel to setup and auto-report data. * Interact effectively with the sensory team to plan resources and clearly communicate issues for resolution. * Support sensory team goals and activities. Essential Skills * Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. * Basic math skills, including percentages, conversions, and ratios. * Service and detail-oriented. * Good planning and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and take initiative. * Flexible and curious. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in a scientific lab or food preparation is desirable. * Must be willing to work around and with potential food allergens, primarily dairy, soy, tree nuts, and gluten. Work Environment The position requires full-time, on-site work from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm in Marysville.
