Field Installation Technician

The Role
As the BlastOne Field Installation Technician you will be responsible for supporting the installation team (customer or contractor) to ensure on time delivery of installation schedules and that the quality of installation meets the customer and BlastOne expectations. You will act as the liaison between the customer and the BlastOne delivery team to effectively communicate installation status, risks and unforeseen impacts to the delivery schedule.
Points of responsibility include:
Detailed review of new system installations to confirm prints and functioning as designed.
Conduct startup and commission of new installations.
Generate installation and commissioning reports.
Provide support to sub-contractors to ensure installation steps are completed with the expected level of quality per the design intent.
Conduct training for operations and maintenance groups.
Conduct over phone support to customers.
Trouble shoot and diagnose mechanical systems during start up phases of installation.

Review existing PLC programs for troubleshoot and diagnose of installation and commissioning steps
Check inventory of delivered components to validate all parts are available for installation.

Solicitation and gather feedback from sub-contractors for use of continuous improvement for installation processes and standards
Work with PMs and PEs to derisk potential field issues during the installation phase.
Daily communication of project status including punch list items and risks to project delivery.
Identify potential risks in the installation phase and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and evaluate risk factors to ensure proactive decision-making.
Implement quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of installations.

Proven experience as an Installation or service technican or similar role
2+ years of experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment (pneumatic, electrical and mechanical).

The Role
BlastOne is looking for an experienced Electrical controls Engineer to join our growing team! The Senior Control Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, detailing, and programming electrical power and control systems for automated blast and paint booth installations, including integration of subsystems. This role involves creating detailed schematics, programming automation platforms, and ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, and applicable hazardous area standards.
Systems typically combine proprietary BlastOne equipment with customer-supplied and third-party components to deliver a comprehensive turnkey solution. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in low-voltage power distribution, control system architecture, and safety compliance, as well as hands-on experience with commissioning and field support.
Key Responsibilities
Design 480VAC power distribution systems for automated industrial equipment, including circuit protection and load analysis.
Develop control system architecture to meet customer specifications and applicable code requirements.
Prepare electrical and control schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD.
Conduct short circuit rating analyses and ensure supplied equipment meets SCCR requirements.
Ensure all designs comply with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 496, and other relevant safety standards, including those for hazardous (classified) areas.
Develop PLC and HMI software primarily using Schneider Electric, Beckhoff, or Allen-Bradley platforms.
Support factory acceptance testing, verification planning, and documentation.
Generate and maintain detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs) for all phases of design and procurement.
Provide support during system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
Interface with vendors, customers, and internal project teams to coordinate design deliverables.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to design standards, product development, and team workflows.
Contribute to root cause investigations and corrective action processes as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical and control system design for industrial equipment.
Minimum of 8 years of experience with PLC and HMI programming.
Strong understanding of 480VAC power system design and protection per the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA safety standards, including experience with hazardous area classifications.
Demonstrated experience performing short circuit rating and coordination studies.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
Willingness to travel occasionally to support commissioning and customer site work.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.

The Role
The Project Engineer - Infrastructure reports to the Engineering Manager - Infrastructure carrying out Project Engineering tasks to support the infrastructure function of the business.
Coordinates Engineering input to support schedule development.
Works with department managers and others as needed for alignment, effective planning, and execution.

Implements approved project changes and associated schedule impact for the project and communication of changes to the managers.
Verifies project quality processes are being followed.
Holds reoccurring design coordination meetings as needed with the project team to ensure coordination and that all departments work in conjunction with one another.
Coordinates with Project Management and Procurement to establish proper document distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinates engineering field support, field communication, through the utilization of the RFI system.
Reviews and provide engineering input in support of the weekly and monthly reports on the status and projects of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.
Participates in project review meetings
Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in any engineering discipline from ABET accredited university required
5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary projects including mechanical, structural, electrical, and control systems in the execution of EPC projects and proposals.
Strong preference for industrial experience supporting construction teams for Balance of Plant scopes.
Desired experience with engineered fixed equipment in the material handling or abrasive blasting industry.
Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards, documentation, practices, vendor data approvals, etc.

Key Responsibilities
Develop PLC and HMI software primarily using Beckhoff, or Allen-Bradley platforms using structured text.

The Role
The Project Engineer works in partnership with the Project Manager and leads the engineering work process for delivery of BlastOne Industrial Solution projects. Project Engineers will support project development efforts during the sales phase and ensure a smooth technical transition to delivery. They are responsible to ensure all project requirements are clearly documented and communicated to all project stakeholders through the creation of design basis document, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Reporting to the Manager of Project & Process Engineering, this role is also responsible for ensuring the project follows the BlastOne Engineering Workflow for stage gates and reviews. As part of these duties, forecasting of work hours to completion and managing adherence to schedule are critical for project success.
• Create and manage changes to the project definition documents including the design basis, PFD, P&IDs and
equipment specifications.
• Lead coordination of engineering effort on the project and communication between process, mechanical, and
automation engineering and external coordination with vendors and engineering firms.
• Manage workflow to comply with BlastOne design process, review gates and procedures
• Ensure design complies with industrial codes and regulations
• Forecast engineering labor for assigned projects and manage work to achieve schedule
• Follow a structured approach to issue tracking and resolution.
• Contribute to resolution of difficult engineering issues.
• Support hazard assessments and hazard mitigation.
• Work Package Management (in house and outsourcing scope of work generation and work product review)
• Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) of engineering processes
Required Skills/Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 8+yrs of experience designing and managing industrial projects
• Technical project management experience
• Design and layout of production systems in manufacturing environment
• Experience with creating technical project definition documents
• Experience in reading, digesting, and applying industry codes and standards to establish requirements for standard
products and/or projects.
• Experience in compliance with customer specifications (requirements management).
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems used for industrial manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of industrial ventilation systems (specification and application of heat recovery units, air handling units, air makeup units (industrial air conditioners), dust collectors is a plus
• Basic understanding of hazardous area classifications and associated electrical certification implications.
• Basic understanding of industrial and OSHA safety requirements
• Experience performing hand calculations and computer aided analysis (CFD/FEA) a plus.
• Exposure to the construction industry a strong plus.
• Experience with manufacturing methods and design for manufacturing (sheet metal, machining, and fabrication) a
plus.
• Root cause analysis and process development experience a plus
• Experience with installation and commissioning support of automated equipment in manufacturing environment a
strong plus.
