Aaron Samuels is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Blavity Inc., the leading news company and media brand for Black Millennials + Gen Z in the U.S., reaching over 100 million people per month. With a background in strategy consulting, product management, poetry, and dialogue facilitation, Aaron is known for approaching problems with a combination of creativity and analytics. Beginning his career as a poet, Aaron has toured the country with his acclaimed book, Yarmulkes & Fitted Caps. He has performed on television, given a TEDx talk, and has been featured at over 100 theaters & stages. In 2016, Aaron landed himself on Forbes' coveted 30 under 30 list as a rising star in the tech and media space. Aaron received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and his MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. When he is not at Blavity, Aaron works as an executive coach and as an investor, operating a fund that deploys capital into companies founded by women and people of color. Jeff Nelson is a serial entrepreneur, technical architect and software development expert driving innovation at the intersection of technology, business, culture and public policy. After spending a decade building enterprise software at companies like Palantir, MailChimp and Ionic Security, Jeff is working on a mission to create elegant solutions to complex problems using technology so humans can be more productive.

Jeff is currently the Founder & CEO of Cinchapi and the Co-Founder & CTO of Blavity. Cinchapi provides a code-free platform for data discovery, analytics and automation powered by machine learning. And Blavity connects the world to black culture through experiences that transcend digital and physical spaces.

Jeff is an active researcher, developer, consultant and company builder. He studied Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis and is now based in Atlanta, GA.

Alecia Baxter is a Chief of Staff to the COO at Blavity and is based in Greater Los Angeles Area. She has worked as Marketing & Proposal Specialist at ARCADIS, Associate Board Member at The Simple Good, and Specialty Consulting Marketing Manager at ARCADIS. Alecia studied at Loyola University Chicago between 2006 and 2010.
