As our Batch Making Operator, you will be the baker for our coatings operation. Instead of flour and sugar, you'll be blending chemicals and pigments with precision, following detailed “recipes” (formula tickets) to produce high-quality industrial coatings. Every batch you create needs to be consistent, safe, and ready to perform, just like a perfect cake that rises to the occasion.
Every day you will handle crucial production tasks like operating pumps, valves, and a compactor with precision. You'll keep things moving safely and efficiently, perform quality checks, and uphold a clean, organized workspace. Inventory tracking and documenting formula updates is a daily routine, along with working automated systems for raw materials and milling.

Here is What We Offer You:
Batch Making Operator starts at $22/hr. Team members will receive a $0.50/hr increase at 6 months of employment and another $0.50/hr increase at one year of employment.
Any shift that starts from 12 PM or later (off-shifts) also receives a $3/hr shift differential.

- A Day in the Life
The Mixer Operator assembles ingredients, portions, weighs, and formulates according to customer specifications. This position operates a computer-controlled mixing system producing dough products. Daily tasks include recording of ingredient lot numbers, weighing and combining product ingredients using a scale, physically putting ingredients into a 1,000-pound-capacity mixer, recording mix times, dough temperatures, moisture percentages and other data on paperwork, programming mixer settings using a function-key-style computer terminal, washing/rinsing/sanitizing equipment, mixing water and dry yeast to produce yeast slurry used in dough production, shoveling ice into large bins for use in dough mixing.
Job duties and responsibilities
Control the flow of allergens in the Sheeter room.
Control accurate formulations, document lot numbers, raw dough temperatures, and dough moisture percentages.
Make ice formula adjustments as necessary, communicating to the bakery lead if a product is not meeting its specification.
Understands the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Takes a macro approach to the overall operation of the dough room.
Controls amount of scrap in batches and lines
Is the first line of defense for people entering the bakery without proper PPE or washing hands improperly.
Maintains a clean work area by using brooms, mops, and dustpans.
