What is a Moodlifter you ask? Moodlifters are the people who greet each of our members with ear to ear smiles, over the top enthusiasm and pretty much know everyone in the gym by name. They will run to open the door for you in a driving rainstorm and change a channel so you don't miss a minute of the big game. They consistently go above and beyond and you can't help but smile when you see them.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet every member and guest with enthusiasm and a smile
Tours potential members around the club with the goal of signing up the person for a membership
Answer phone calls in a professional and energetic manner
Execute all opening/closing operational procedures to ensure the club runs smoothly
Handles members requests and concerns with a sense of urgency
Actively participates in ensuring the club is spotless
Signs members up for their startup sessions with Blink Personal Trainers
May be responsible for opening at 5am Monday-Friday and 7am Saturday-Sunday
May be responsible for closing at 10pm Monday-Friday and 6pm Saturday-Sunday

The main purpose of this position is to supervise the maintenance staff and operations of all activities related to club maintenance and to ensure that the club consistently meets Equinox's standards for cleanliness and safety.

Hire, train, supervise, coach and evaluate maintenance staff
Develop employees with potential Maintenance Supervisor capabilities
Conduct performance evaluations on annual anniversary date
Perform 30, 60, & 90-day review on all new hires
Require Manager on Duty's ("MOD") to attend monthly facility reviews
Train all new staff with the customized, club-specific cleaning checklists
Complete cleanliness inspections (walk-through)
Perform daily one-on-one meetings with each shift MOD's
Report to the AGM daily for open tasks
Ensure adequate inventory of maintenance and locker room supplies
Conduct frequent walkthroughs
Implement inclement weather procedures
Oversee deliveries
Be aware and knowledgeable of emergency procedures
Attend Manager meetings
Maintain high visibility during peak club hours
Ensure high level of customer service
Keep current in knowledge of key competitors as to their location, physical plant, and equipment
Assist in the development of annual budget with respect to the Maintenance Department
Perform all other projects and responsibilities as required
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:
Proven experience in a commercial business or fitness setting
Proven ability to hire, direct, and train staff
Knowledge in maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and exercise equipment
Knowledge and experience with tools
Knowledge and experience with janitorial cleaning products and OSHA standards
Current C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
Good financial management

The Personal Training Manager (PTM) is a leader of operational excellence at the club level for the PT Department. He/she creates and supports team culture to drive the business. Personal Training Managers should be goal oriented, results driven, eager to interact with members, and excited to develop and manage a team of high performing talent.
Leadership in Operational Excellence:
Model “Servant Leadership” during interactions with trainers, club staff, and members.
Establish and maintain friendliness and service standards for trainers in their interactions with members and club staff.
Proactively act upon business trends in new clients, fitness assessment conversions, client attrition and client training frequency to achieve monthly and annual department goals.
Implement and execute all operational SOPs including administrative duties associated with client outreach and staff accountabilities.
Craft and execute a meaningful monthly trainers' forum (meeting).
Talent Development and Support of PT Staff:
Conduct monthly Professional Development Meetings (PDMs) and partner with trainer to achieve their stated specific actions steps directly associated with trainer's stated financial, career and education goals.
Provide timely, direct, and actionable feedback to Fitness Manager (FM) and trainers on areas of improvement and timetable those improvements with clearly defined expectations.
Develop strong relationships with all departments in club in order to ensure communication and collaboration to support our internal philosophy.
Lead sales training for new hires and those needing extra support.
Conduct business management workshops focusing on the specific needs of each Tier level.
Develop and manage the FM to flawlessly execute job responsibilities and prepare for promotion opportunity.
Identify key talent to promote to Managers in Training (MIT), Tier X and Master Instructors.
Lead and foster team commitment to continued education opportunities (both internal and external) to ensure high educational standards and delivery of quality programming.
Achieve and maintain team headcount target through active management of the interview process and generating referrals from current trainers.
Pay Transparency: $58,656 - $61,500 Plus ability to conduct sessions and earn bonus and commissions

We have 3 lanes of cycling at Equinox: Road, Competition, and Beats, to meet the needs of our diverse member base and satisfy the variety of styles of cycling instructors. At Equinox, we conduct a 7-week paid mentorship program, Equinox Cycle Pro, that prepares instructors for success in the lane that suits them best. In some instances, it is possible to bypass the mentorship program and begin teaching immediately. The Equinox Cycle Pro Program entails the following responsibilities:
Complete the 7-week paid mentorship cycling program: Equinox Cycle Pro
Attend a once a week 2-hour session to demo portions of class and receive feedback
Complete a total of 2 hours of online training that consists of video tutorials
Perform a final audition
After completion of the Equinox Cycle Pro Program, there is a final audition for the position of cycling instructor. That position entails the following responsibilities:
Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
Ensure class begins and ends on time;
Assist Members with technical/mechanical support on the bike to maximize their experience
Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing;
Pay Transparency: $60-$80/per class; or $16.60/hr for non-class work

The main purpose of this position is to ensure that club and exercise equipment are kept clean and well maintained. The Maintenance Manager on Duty plays a major role in leading the maintenance team and supporting the Maintenance Manager and management team.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Extensively train all new and existing staff to the Equinox expectation.
Notify maintenance manager of any and all operational issues.
Assist maintenance manager in all club related special projects (floor cleaning, high dusting, advanced equipment repair, etc.)
Inspect and maintain all cleaning equipment used by club employee's (mop pads, buckets, pails, floor scrubbing machines, ladders, dolly's, hand trucks, rags, etc.
Inspect and repair all club equipment on a daily basis (cardio/strength equipment, cardio theater system, climate control, club's overhead and studio music systems.)
Full knowledge of all cleaning supplies and recommended chemicals.
Responsible for inventory, restocking, and replacement of all maintenance supplies (lighting, locker room supplies, laundry supplies, maintenance chemicals, towels, etc.)
Perform all other projects and responsibilities

Equinox's locations in Chicago are seeking is currently seeking Group Fitness Instructors. The position entails the following responsibilities. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:
Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
Ensure class begins and ends on time;
Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing;
Pay Transparency: $60-$80/per class; or $16.60/hr for non-class work
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:
Must possess a current Group Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM are acceptable) or a degree in a related field;
Have experience teaching Group Fitness classes in a related discipline;
Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations and ACSM Guidelines for frequency, intensity, duration, and mode;
Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
