What you can expect in this position: Under the direction of the Multimedia Strategist, performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to the area-specific internship. The Multimedia Marketing Internship provides an overview to all of our marketing segments. It will provide the opportunity to learn the basics of project management, develop and implement a strategic marketing and communications plan, create a social and digital advertising plan and place the advertisements, and work together with a cross-functional team. Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Versiti Organ and Tissue is a federally designated Organ Procurement Organization, (OPO) supporting the transplant community in southeastern Wisconsin. While we recover organs for life-saving transplant, we prioritize a family-centered process, supporting both our donors and their families throughout the end-of-life, donation, and bereavement processes. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification Complies with all policies and standards Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Clinical Laboratory Science required Associate's Degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology (MLT) from an accredited institution and at least 5 years of experience in a transfusion service in lieu of required degree Experience Clinical experience working in a transfusion service as obtained from prior work experience or that obtained in clinical rotations through required education. required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of immunohematology and immunology theory. Skill in the operation of laboratory equipment, instrument, computer, and materials. Effective time managing and organizational skills to perform multiple laboratory functions simultaneously. Maintain accurate, timely records of patient information and laboratory results. Strong detail orientation and analytical ability to evaluate and ensure accuracy of data related to laboratory results and patient information. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey understanding of factual and theoretical information and make recommendations to customers. Effective problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member.
