Tenet Healthcare and the St. Francis Health System are seeking an experienced Cardio Thoracic Surgical / Cardio Vascular Surgical Physician Assistant for our facility in Memphis, TN.
Our provider?s time would be spent with a healthy mixture of OR time and inpatient rounding allowing you to keep all aspects of your skills sharp. Endoscopic Vein Harvesting experience would be a huge plus.

General Summary: Under a collaborative agreement with a physician, provides patient care and education to assigned caseload of patients in accordance with established midwifery practice guidelines.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Provide physician assistant services to patients as directed by the physician?s patient care plan and supervised by the physician
Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
Orders medications.

Education: Graduate of an approved and accredited Physician Assistant master?s program.
Certification: Physician Assistant license to practice in the state. CPR Certified. DEA registration with state.

Our Certified Medication Aide is an employee certified to administer medications, in accordance with state and federal laws, under the supervision of licensed staff to residents within Americare Assisted Living Memory Care Communities. Provides personal care including ADL's, housekeeping, assist with meals and other tasks needed to assure quality of life in a home like environment while offering additional support to family and visitors. Your Role as the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

Summary

Reinforce skills patients learn from nurses, physicians and therapist that promote improved physical and mental wellness.

Provide transfer or transportation for patient or coordinate transportation with appropriate staff member, as required.
Adherence to work schedule and overall attendance.

This position is an Essential position at the facility to ensure efficient operations and patient care. Employees hired into an Essential position are expected to report to work for their scheduled shifts regardless of the environmental weather and road conditions that may exist.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
A certified nursing assistant helps patients with direct health care needs, often under the supervision of a nurse. CNAs work directly with patients and the nursing staff, helping with many physical and complex tasks for patient's activities of daily living and monitoring and reporting health changes to other staff.
Some of their responsibilities include:
Turning and moving patients
Gathering medical supplies
Bathing patients
Grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving, etc.
Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake
Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate
Answering patient calls
Documenting information
Cleaning rooms and bed linens
Stocking supplies
Assisting with some medical procedures
Safety procedures
Transporting patients
Facility General Responsibilities:
Attend facility new hire orientation as scheduled by HR
Complete Department Orientation Initial Competency within 7 days of hire date
Complete Department Initial Skills Competency within 90 days of hire date
Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures
Respect cultural and religious practices of patients from all backgrounds
Follow HIPAA regulations at all times
Be punctual and dependent for assigned shifts
Dress within the dress code requirements of the facility
Identifies all patients using at least two identifiers verbally (name and DOB), and by checking ID bracelet
Follows Hospital Wide and Department Specific policies and procedures
Must interact with physicians, guest, staff, and patients pleasantly, cooperatively, and effectively
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Certified nursing assistants help perform critical tasks that ensure patients are well-cared for and safe during their hospital stay. Checking vital signs, keeping patients clean, and other duties like this are extremely important for patient care and satisfaction. CNAs are extremely involved in the daily routines of the patients and are often the first to notice small changes that could help identify health issues before they become problematic, making them a critical part of the healthcare team.
Unit Secretary work involves standard administrative responsibilities, such as answering phones, making copies, scheduling appointments and maintaining supplies. Additionally, unit secretaries admit patients, administer and maintain patient records, break down medical charts and communicate with the clinical staff to ensure all appropriate patient information is gathered.
Position Requirements: Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Certifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent and a State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification is required. BLS for HCP certification required.
Working Conditions:
The ability to think and work independently and with direction, experience communicating with other staff in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment is needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Medical Transcriptionist under the direction of the Medical Transcription Supervisor performs the daily activities of transcribing pathology reports from digital voice dictation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Return dictated reports in electronic form for physician's review, signature, and corrections, and for inclusion in patients' medical records.
Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology.
Transcribe dictation by pathologists and histological staff regarding the gross and microscopic descriptions and diagnosis of anatomic pathology.
Distinguish between homonyms and recognize inconsistencies and mistakes in medical terms, referring to dictionaries, drug references, and other sources on anatomy and, physiology.
Translate medical terminology and abbreviations into their expanded forms to ensure the accuracy of patient and health care facility records.
Identify mistakes in reports and check with doctors to obtain the correct information.
