Blu company history timeline
Blu Perspective was founded in 2006 in West Michigan by Corbin Collet, who had spent much of his previous career with a Fortune 100 automotive supplier.
Since the company’s founding in 2007 Paulette has helped Blu play an increasingly influential role within the home entertainment (Digital, Film/TV, Media) industry.
Those uncertainties created pressure to settle on a format, and in 2008 the entertainment industry accepted Blu-ray as its preferred standard.
In 2009, two years later, blu’s founder Jason Healy found himself in a bar in the USA, dreaming up a vape business of his own.

In 2013, Imperial Brands set up Fontem Ventures as a global leader in vaping technology, and Fontem partnered with health care and pharmaceutical company Dragonite to acquire the global patents for Hon Lik’s core technologies.
Then, in 2015, Fontem acquired blu.
Four years later in 2017, Fontem also acquired e-vapour business and next generation product innovator Nerudia.
Under Alex’s leadership, mTab grew from a 17-person company in California to a 140-person company with offices in California, Detroit, the UK, Poland, Japan, and China. mTab was sold to Milestone Partners in 2018.
In 2019 Samsung announced that it would not introduce any more new Blu-ray player models in the United States
