The Appraiser is responsible for the appraisal and classification of residential, agricultural and income producing properties through physical inspections to establish a market value for real estate tax purposes. This position also maintains the appraisal data and classifications within the CAMA and TAX systems. The Appraiser is also responsible for addressing public inquiries regarding property value and taxes, as well as defends appraisal decisions to taxpayers through appeal process. This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM with a one-hour lunch period. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Appraises and classifies all property within the county through location, measurements and interior and exterior inspections. Maintains appraisal data and classifications in CAMA and TAX systems. Calculates and records value apportionment necessitated by splitting or combining properties. Processes and verifies certificates of real estate value for sales ratio studies and for property appraisal purposes. Performs sales analysis of sale properties.
