The Director of Diamond Sports is responsible for the comprehensive leadership and strategic oversight of Mid-Pacific Institute's baseball and Softball programs at all levels. This position combines program management, administrative leadership, and field/facility supervision with a strong focus on athlete development and community engagement. The Director of Baseball/Softball will report directly to the Athletic Director and is tasked with supervising all baseball and softball coaches, managing program operations, and ensuring the long‑term success of Mid-Pacific Baseball and Softball. This position also plays a pivotal role in aligning the baseball and softball programs with the broader mission and values of Mid-Pacific Institute, including fostering community and belonging and ensuring student‑athlete well‑being on and off the field. EXPECTATIONS Program Leadership: Provide strategic and day‑to‑day leadership of the baseball and softball programs across all competitive levels (Intermediate, JV, Varsity). Provide program supervision during scheduled practices and workouts as well as when facilities are in use. Oversee and manage daily operations, and field/facility care. Collaborate with Athletics and Facilities to implement long‑term facility improvement plans. Organize inventory, facilitate equipment orders, and facility needs. Provide administrative oversight for all Mid‑Pacific hosted baseball and softball events. Ensure that all coaches uphold Mid‑Pacific's Na Pueo Culture Playbook at all times and in all aspects of coaching. Design and execute a vertically integrated development program from Intermediate to Varsity. Coordinate year‑round training (offseason, preseason, in‑season). Include Strength & Conditioning staff and club opportunities. Provide academic monitoring and college recruitment support. Implement individualized development plans for student‑athletes and track their progress throughout the year. Community Engagement Host preseason parent meetings and facilitate ongoing communication. WORK SCHEDULE This is a full‑time, 12‑month position that includes responsibilities during the summer and scheduled school breaks. This position is based on a minimum of 40 hours per week. The work hours require flexibility and are usually scheduled around athletic events taking place on campus which includes after‑school hours and weekends.     The AMT is responsible to ensure that maintenance performed by he/she is accomplished is in accordance with the Company Operation Specifications Approved by the FAA, (for air carriers), Company Maintenance Policies/Procedure(s) and in accordance with the FAA and Manufacturers Airworthiness Standards as prescribed by applicable regulations, directives and good industry standard practices, for each type of aircraft, power plant or equipment that this company maintains. The position will be based in Hawaii at one of the Blue Hawaiian Maintenance Bases and may require travel to other bases as necessary. The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Perform maintenance on an aircraft, powerplant or related article that individual is qualified for. Conduct all types of daily duties; scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance. Responsible for troubleshooting of airframe, engine and electrical systems. Replace engines, transmissions and other components as necessary. Ensure that facilities, aircraft, ground support equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner and IAW company standards. Sign off on completed tasks as required by the FAR's. Conduct 100 hour and 500 hour inspections. Communicate progress on current status/work to be done to other mechanic. If this is not performed he/she SHALL document the status of this “partially completed” work in the maintenance “Pass Down” log prior to leaving the ongoing maintenance task or project. Ensure accountability for all tooling, expendable items, parts and company owned equipment utilized by him/her during the performance of maintenance on an aircraft, powerplant or related article. Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor/Manager of any shortcomings that may arise regarding the technical manuals, specifications or serviceability of equipment and tools required to perform their assigned maintenance tasks. Provide recommendations for additional training or process improvements as they deem necessary, to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, as applicable. Responsibilities Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Provide each guest with a professional and courteous greeting and extraordinary guest service Establish rapport and trust with the guest and assist guest in selecting the product that matches their needs. Needs are assessed via the discovery process (i.e. asking questions) Meet or exceed established sales targets in a commissioned environment Demonstrate the ability to generate sales and up sell product by “painting the picture” and planning out the guest's stay to improve their experience Take responsibility for solving guest issues in a timely fashion with satisfaction and a sense of urgency. The Apprentice Mechanic is responsible for all duties that prepare, support and assist the A&P Mechanics maintain and repair helicopter fleet. The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Perform all types of daily duties; cleaning parts and preparing helicopters for maintenance. Clean shop work areas. Responsible for assisting A&P Mechanics with their duties as asked. Support the A&P Mechanics to perform their responsibilities timely and safely. Will be picking up parts, preparing part and read manufacturing manual as necessary. Need to become knowledgeable with company systems and procedures in Maintenance Department. Perform hangar and equipment maintenance as required by operating location. Assist maintenance and line service staff as necessary. Assist A&P mechanics with aircraft unscheduled and scheduled preventative maintenance. Assist A&P mechanics with troubleshooting of aircraft systems, replacing engines, transmissions and other components as necessary. Updating daily logbooks and computer as required.
