Hours: 7a - 5p ET or 1p - 11p ET + 1 Saturday per month (20 hrs a week total)

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role is: $90 - $136 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Provide high quality care for patients in a virtual setting
Collaborate with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team as needed when working with complex patients
Follow up on labs, imaging, and closed loop communication with patients and other providers as needed
Use tooling to allow virtual "exams" including remote home monitoring equipment, remote physical exam, remote point of care diagnostics
Participate in collaborative care model with various care team members including but not limited to registered nurses, medical assistants, PCPs, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical supervisor where applicable
Participate in required meetings to support patient care including huddles, case conferencing and regular service line All Hands
Provide feedback to support improvement in operational workflows and product features
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
MD/DO from accredited program
Board Certification (ER/FM/IM)
3+ years of outpatient urgent care or emergency department experience
2+ years of experience delivering virtual care/telemedicine
Licensed in TX, TN, FL, GA, OH, NJ (must have three out of the six)
Willingness to be licensed in additional states with our assistance, working with our licensing vendor
Compact license from IMLCC or eligible for a compact license (hold a full, unrestricted medical license in a state that is a member of the Compact)
Bonus points:

Directs ambulatory care and services for registered ChapCare patients. Directs and supervise other health care providers and nonmedical personnel. Participates in Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, Peer Review and special projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages and maintains a program of comprehensive health for the patients, to include preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
Prepares and reviews medical histories and obtains data through interviews.
Examines patients, formulates diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing. Interprets examination findings and test results, and implements treatment plans.
Prescribes and assesses effectiveness of pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate for patient medical conditions.
Determines need for consultation and assists in medical care and treatment provided at the direction of other specialists.
Participate in other care procedures according to training and demonstrated ability.
Provide supportive and definitive care to patients with primary care appropriate medical conditions, based on documented and demonstrated proficiency.
Manages primary care services, formulates plans and procedures for operating outpatient services directed toward health maintenance as patient's primary care provider.
Actively participates in the Family Practice Clinic by supervising assigned medical staff, nurses, and other medical technicians as assigned.
Determines needs for, and advises on kind and quantity of, medical supplies and equipment if applicable.
Responsible for coordinating medical care with internal and external medical specialties as needed.
Ability to supervise, advise, train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise as well as, a variety of health-related topics, including first-aid measures, basic and advanced health care maintenance.
Ability to participate in After Hours Service and Physician Weekend Coverage rotation. After Hours Service starts on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and ends the following Friday at 5:00 p.m.; Weekend Coverage is Saturday only, clinic hours may vary. The rotation of coverage equates to once every 4 - 8 weeks.
Qualifications
Education:
For entry into this specialty, a doctor of medicine or a doctor of osteopathy degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy.
Completion of a residency in InternalMedicine acceptable to the State of California or board certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties, American Board of Physician Specialties, American Board of InternalMedicine or the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Osteopathic Specialties is mandatory.
Experience:
Practice in a federally qualified health center or like practice serving diverse uninsured and underserved populations.

Family Medicine Specialist (defined by current board certified or equivalent board certification) with interests as defined above and with an interest, additional training and practice experience to include the broad range of gynecologic, medical, surgical, orthopedic, psychiatric and trauma emergency.
InternalMedicine Specialist (defined by current board certification or equivalent board certification with interests as defined above and with an interest, additional training and practice experience to include the broad range of gynecologic, medical, surgical, orthopedic, psychiatric and trauma emergencies.
Duties and Responsibilities
* The Physician (GMO) will be assigned to treat patients in the following settings: (1) non-surgical/field medical care clinics. The physician (GMO) will treat patients in these settings to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment and recovery, request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists as necessary. Some settings will require the physician (GMO) to coordinate with local hospitals to determine local capabilities, coordinate admission, monitor and arrange final disposition. In addition, some settings will require stabilization of patients and coordination of evacuation of patients to a medevac center.
* In some locations, the Physician (GMO) will have a leadership role and serve as both a Physician and Site Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer in support of a Health Services Administrator.
* Physicians (GMO) provide a U.S. standard of care for our patient care/treatment model.
* All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized.

Job Requirements
* Post-residency experience as an attending physician, with additional training and/or experience in GYN, dermatology, ENT, pulmonary, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, medical, surgical, orthopedic, psychiatric and trauma emergency.
* Hold and maintain a current unrestricted U.S. (State) license as a Physician.
* Have and maintain current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS).
* All health care providers and medical support staff must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year.
* Licenses are in good standing, are without restrictions, and are kept current through the period of employment.
* Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams in a secure environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management systems (EHR, scheduling, inventory).
* Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and credentials required for access to detention facilities.
* Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, Resided in the US for 3 years in the past 5 years.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
* Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations.
* Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.

Position Highlights:
* This is a temporary role intended for 3rd year physician residents, interested in pursuing a full-time role with our group following completion of residency.
* Optum will educate and prepare the physician (virtually) for next generation population health models in a top-notch patient and provider setting.
* The customized program will be completed at Optum NM facilities and/or virtually with deep exposure to primary care within a team-based practice environment that will require a commitment of few hours per month.
