1943

Blue Star was founded in 1943 by Mohan T Advani as a reconditioning company.

1944

The project really started in the autumn of 1944 when about 2,000 dogwoods were planted along this road.

1945

The New Jersey Legislature approved a Joint Resolution on January 22, 1945, designating this highway "Blue Star Drive."

In 1945, Paul Stewart purchased the business from the Knapp family while continuing to run his stock brokerage firm of Stewart, Meyerson & Briggs in San Francisco.

Miller, a guest speaker at the annual convention of the National Council in 1945, suggested that this program be projected on a nationwide basis.

1946

An article in the September 1946 issue of Contractors and Engineers Monthly described the planting project:

1969

Employee strength crossed the 1000 mark and the company went public in 1969 to become Blue Star Limited, as it continues to be called today.

It then forayed into the residential air conditioning segment a few years later, along with entering the water and air purification segments as well as the engineering facility management (EFM) space recently. It went public in 1969 with an initial public offering, listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

2000

Revenues touched the ₹10 crore mark and staff strength doubled to exceed 2000.

2002

In 2002, Prizer introduced handcrafted, restaurant-quality ranges for the residential market under the BlueStar brand name.

2003

The company set up a wholly owned subsidiary company under the name Blue Star Design & Engineering Ltd in November 2003 which provide offshore product design and project engineering services to the global manufacturing and specialized Architecture Engineering and Construction sectors.

2005

In the following three years, the company nearly doubled its revenue, clocking ₹1,178 crores in 2005-06.

2008

Also the company strengthened their projects business through the strategic acquisition of the business of Naseer Electricals Pvt Ltd a leading electrical contracting firm in January 2008.

2015

Blue Star crossed the ₹3,000 crore revenue milestone in 2015.

2016

During the year 2016 Blue Star added its presence in 5 countries viz Kenya Sudan Vietnam Iran and Tanzania.

2017

The testing facilities of the assembly lines were also advanced with the new inspection testing standards in purview.During the year 2017 a new range of energy-efficient configured or mix-and-match chillers was introduced which was received well by the market for its Wada plant.

About 3 million units sold every year are electric namely RO UV RO+UV and its variants.In FY 2017 the Company launched a range of 13 models including colour variants perhaps the largest by any new entrant in the category.

2018

2018 marks the Platinum Jubilee Year for Blue Star as the Company will be completing 75 years on September 27, 2018.
