Summary:
A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. They independently assess, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. RRTs work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver life-saving therapies and patient-centered care.
Essential Work Functions:
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans
Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders
Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples
Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications
Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate
Observe and record patient status and progress
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care
Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:
· Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
· Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers of aliens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations.
· Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
· Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
· Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
Qualifications:
GL-9: You qualify for the GL-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
· Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
· Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
· Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.
If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:
· Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (including protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans' Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: After you are hired, you will be detailed to the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, for approximately six (6) months of intensive instruction in immigration and nationality laws, law enforcement, and USBP-specific operations, driver training, physical techniques, firearms, and other courses. Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English. Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient in the Spanish language at the Academy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure seamless delivery of services for individuals who are eligible for DD case management services by making staff assignments, monitoring service delivery compliance with Agency policies and procedures and both Medicaid and licensure regulations, and conducting reviews of particular cases. Participate in the evaluation of existing services and facilities development of new services by providing information and support to the Director of Case Management.
Interview and recommend for hire DD Case Management staff in conjunction with the Director of Case Management. Provide lead supervision to assigned staff, including training and performance evaluation (s), and encouraging opportunities for professional development. Coordinate and facilitate monthly staff meetings/trainings. Provide leadership role for appropriate intervention in crisis and emergencies. Provide support and training to assigned staff in areas of documentatin and charting compliance, with applicable Agency policies and procedures, and both Medicaid and Licensure regulations. Responsible for oversight of entry of leave, mileage, and travel expenses in the UKG timekeeping system.
Act as Agency representative in assisgned meetings and teams, both internally and within the community, or to act as respresenative in the event that the Director is unable to attend. Responsibilities will include preparation and compilation of waiver information to preseent to Waiver Slot Assignement Committee and possible attendance and participations in other community meetings.
Receive and process referrals in the the electronic health record to ensure that they are assigned and processed in a timely manner. Oversee the DD referral team and will also ensure review of records prior to discharge from the program, and will be responsible for assignment of dishcarge from the electronic health care record.
Oversee documentation processes in collaboration with Quality Assurrance Coordinator (s) to ensure compliance with applicable Agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standards including both Medicaid and Licensure. Provide supervision and support to DD case management staff for performance improvement in areas of documentation as needed. Conduct training in areas of charting compliance, complete reviews of records as needed or requested, and maintain supervision documentaion for staff for performance evaluation/improvement plan purposes.
Responsible for ensuring that contacts are made in accordance with the Individualized Service Plan and that documentation is thorough, accurate and completed in a timely manner to facilitate billing. Ensure that individualized sevice plans and person-centered reviews are reviewed by a designated QIDP staff for case managers who are not yet QIDP.
Ensure that enhanced case mangement visits are occuring in the appropriate timeframe, and that the individuals are accuratley being identified for enhanced case management services according to the criteria outlined by the Department of Justice. Responsible for tracking current recipients of ECM, monthly visit dates, and evaluating requirements as appropriate.
Work in collaboration with leadership of various programs to ensure positive outcomes with service delivery and overall program success.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation

PRIMARY PURPOSE/SCOPE The Primary purpose of the Graduate Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach will be the responsibility of assisting in promoting a Track program that is in harmony with the Christian principles of Bluefield University. The Graduate Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach will give direction to the athletes included within the Women's Volleyball program of Bluefield University, while fostering and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND FUNCTIONS
The Graduate Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach is directly responsible to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the following areas:
1. Teaching/Coaching (50%):
a. Assists in the organization and implementation of practice sessions with student-athletes.
b. Instructs, teaches, and coaches student-athletes on how to perform for Track meets and during practice.
c. Provides tutoring and mentoring of athletes involved in the Track program.
d. Monitors and supervises student-athletes while at practice and while traveling to ensure their conduct is reflective of the mission of the University.
2. Departmental Administration: (15%)
a. Promote a Women's Volleyball program that is in harmony with and supportive of the Institutional mission and philosophy of Bluefield University.
b. Know eligibility requirements and provide eligibility list of athletes.
c. Work with athletic training and medical health services.
3. Recruiting (25%):
a. Identify, evaluate and recruit potential team members to Bluefield University.
b. Possesses the knowledge of eligibility requirements, provide, and maintain a roster of eligible athletes.
c. Retain current BU students as team members
d. Ensures that program meets annual membership requirements
e. Ensures that program recruiting activities adhere to University policies and procedures.
4. Public Relations (5%)
a. Report all results to the proper media outlets and sports information director.
b. Recommend athletes for awards.
5. Other Duties (5%):
a. Provides reports and documentation when required by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
b. Possesses the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, implement work, and be able to apply logic and creativity in order to solve problems and deal with mathematical and financial aspects.
c. Possesses the ability to receive, process and provide visual and verbal information
d. Performs all other duties as assigned.
