As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will…
Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
Coach team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
Works with hospital leadership to organize tech and assistant meetings.
Organize training schedules for Technician staff.
Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
Provide feedback leadership and works to develop performance improvement plans.
Other related duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:
You'll support our veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including:
Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
Dental cleanings and digital dental radiographs
Placement and management of IV catheters, fluid pumps, and CRI medications
Collecting and running lab samples (blood, urine, cultures)
Patient care for hospitalized and intensive care patients
Radiographs and ultrasound support, including cystocentesis and focal ultrasound
Performing nerve blocks and preparing for surgical procedures
Operating and assisting with advanced imaging equipment (e.g., HDVI CT)
Client communication: intake, discharge, education, and follow-ups
Conduct technician appointments
What We're Looking For:
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in NYS, in good standing
Graduate of an AAS in Veterinary Technology (minimum)
Proficient in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia, and dentistry
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Comfortable handling a variety of species (including exotics and farm animals a plus)
Respectful and professional in end-of-life situations
Flexibility in scheduling when needed

In this role, you'll continue to provide top-notch nursing care for pets while sharing your expertise to help your colleagues grow and thrive. Using comprehensive training materials, you'll lead hands-on learning sessions, track progress, and provide valuable feedback to hospital leadership.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay: $34.50 - $50.00 / hour + commuter benefits
This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.
As a Licensed Vet Tech Trainer:
You maintain proficiency of the appropriate department and level Veterinary Technician competencies and is scheduled as an active Veterinary Technician.
You facilitate staff training for all technicians and assistants within assigned hospital(s).
You ensure staff has adequate continuing education.
You work to implement any new global training program BluePearl requires of the hospital.
You implement new, company-wide training programs as needed.
You elevate the level of patient care through education within the hospital(s).
You foster effective working relationships between technician/assistants and other hospital staff.
You document the status of staff training and updates applicable management as required through written reports and emails and retains clear documentation on what employees accomplish and follow through on all training programs.
You partner with the national Technician Trainer to assist in developing new programs, digital content, recruitment programs or other efforts retain and train staff.
Experience & Qualifications:
Maintain RVT/LVT/CVT in accordance with state laws.
High School Diploma required
Possession of Vet Technician skill level III or greater required. Previous experience as a BluePearl Veterinary Technician (skill level IV or VTS) is preferred.
Demonstrated capacity to deliver effective training required. Previous supervisory capacity or background in education preferred.
