Job Purpose: Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Experience in CNC machining or a related metal fabrication manufacturing environment is required. Strong understand of manufacturing and production flow. Ability to working from drawings, work instructions, diagrams, parts lists, procedures, and other documentation required to perform precision mechanical assembly operations. Good troubleshooting skills. Must be able to work with diverse groups of employees. Must be able to work in a team setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. The position manages daily operations, including direct supervision of hourly employees, as well as planning for future events under the direction of the Shipping Manager. This position is responsible for developing improvement plans to support organizational growth. Responsibilities Determine and communicate staffing plans/needs to Shipping Manager during hire periods based on work volume. Train new employees and report/document progress. Make sound decisions regarding employee retention. Ensure trucks are loaded according to quality standards, such that stops are loaded to allow drivers to meet customer expectations when unloading and items are secured in a manner to prevent damage and ensure driver safety. Work with Transportation Dept. and drivers to determine and implement "best" loading practices. An Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred. In lieu of educational requirements, equivalent experience may be substituted at the company's discretion. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Intermediate PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook are required. Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Acceptance Testing & Project Completion Lead all activities required for the Acceptance Tests Certification Milestone and Substantial Completion stages. Ensure all required testing documentation, reports, and certification records are prepared, validated, and submitted to the Quality Management team. Monitor contractor and supplier compliance with commissioning procedures and standards. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to apply lean tools for continuous improvement. What You Will Do Machine Setup & Troubleshooting: Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced production equipment and processes. Operations & Production: Start up, operate, and shut down advanced machinery to produce high-quality finished products. Process Improvement & Documentation: Collaborate with engineering to evaluate system effectiveness, develop procedures, and create training materials. Quality Control: Address production quality issues, escalating unresolved concerns to supervisors or quality teams. Waste Reduction: Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, complete A3 improvement plans, and participate in Kaizen events. What You Will Bring Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: 5+ years of related manufacturing experience working with injection molding. Technical Aptitude: Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced machinery, tools, and assemblies. Skills: Strong attention to detail, mathematical skills, and problem-solving capabilities. Shift: Availability to work 12 hour shift, 6a-6pm.
