General Description A Dozer Operator is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described more fully, below. A Dozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Dozer. The Dozer Operator levels and scoops soil and controls the direction and angle of the equipment to move rocks and debris. Key Duties * Proper pre-start and daily Maintenance Including lubrication * Operate the dozer in a safe and appropriate manner * Understand, interpret and follow directions from foreman and superintendents * Keep equipment clean and well maintained * Notify supervisor if equipment needs repair * Tire pressure checks * Monitor all engine gauges * Interacts with construction general laborers and/or crew members who are facilitating alignment, movement, and adjustment of the equipment to complete conformation of grade specifications for the construction project. * Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps. * Adjusts control wheels, handles and depresses pedals to drive machinery and control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers and swing booms * Understand production and quantity requirements * Schedule work and maintain production * Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts * Other duties as assigned Qualification Requirements * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily. Asphalt Distributor Operator General Description An Asphalt Distributor Operator is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described more fully, below. An Asphalt Distributor Operator typically performs a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the work flow dictates. An Asphalt Distributor Operator consists of operating an asphalt distributor by applying specialize emulsions and/or liquid AC to roadways. Key Duties * Understand and execute paving procedures while following instructions to meet the standards of the project * Commercial Driver License (CDL) A or B with N-tanker & X-hazmat endorsement as well as an acceptable driving record * Drives and operates distributor truck equipped with tank to spray asphalt emulsions and/or liquid AC on road surfaces * Connects hose from storage tank to truck tank and moves lever to fill tank with asphalt liquids * Regulate burner to heat liquid and start auxiliary pump * Snap or screw on spray bars to attain required width of spray * Turn valve to regulate flow of material at specified rate and adjust levers to adjust height of spray bar from road surface * Monitor flow gages, tachometer and temperature gauge to insure uniform distribution * Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel and inspections for leaks and damage to machine before operation * Responsible for daily maintenance of equipment to remain in proper and safe working order * Responsible for notifying supervisor if equipment needs to be repaired * Understand and execute different emulsions and/or liquid AC * Shifts may vary according to project demands * Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts Qualification Requirements * General. Position Overview The Project Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring all processes and procedures adhere to contract requirements, project specifications and standard operating procedures. Division Controller - Asphalt General Description: The Division Controller position performs a combination of the duties described more fully below. The primary responsibility will be to manage all financial aspects of the Asphalt Division. Responsibilities: * Prepare monthly financial statements for the division and communicate results to executives. * Analyze financial reports and develop new financial strategies to achieve company goals. * Oversee day-to-day operations of the division's finances. * Supervise a team of 7 AP/AR accountants. * Manage the completion of the month/quarter/year-end close for the division. * Prepare budgets and forecasts for the division and present them to the executive team. * Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers on project budgeting and cost control. * Travel to jobsites/plants as needed. * Review all inventory adjustments and assist with plant surveys. * Assist the environmental team with yearly sustainability reporting. * Oversee all inter/intra-company postings for the division. * Prepare monthly journal entries. * Support Corporate with internal and external financial audits. * Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data. * Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.
