General Description The Pipe Layer is responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm and sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains. This job description may also perform a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the workflow dictates. Reports To: Area Manager or Senior Project Manager The Project Manager is responsible for executing assigned projects from initial meetings through final project completion. The Project Manager is responsible for keeping projects safe, on time, and on budget while emphasizing quality, project planning, and setting and achieving goals. Will verify that work is completed in compliance with project documents and local, state, and federal standards. Is responsible for managing external relationships with Owners, General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors and coordinating internally with other Faulconer Departments and the Operations and Estimating Teams. The Project Manager is responsible for keeping key management personnel aware of a project's status and any requirements necessary to ensure the project's success. General Description The Excavator Operator will work in close proximity to equipment and people and operate an excavator to remove materials in a safe manner. * Operate a excavator in close proximity to equipment and the public safely. * Perform daily fluid level checks on oil, water and fuel; Visual inspection for obvious leaks and damage to machine before operation of equipment as well as safety equipment checks. * Responsible for daily maintenance of equipment to remain in proper and safe working order. Responsible for notifying supervisor if equipment needs to be repaired. * Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements * General. General Description The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical components within asphalt plants and aggregate crushing facilities. * Installation, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC's, HMI interfaces, motors, drives, other electrical components. * Test and repair of various electrical equipment. * Assist in facility startup and new equipment installations. * Involvement in the planning and execution of new wiring installations or upgrades. * Work with facility staff and mechanical department to create more operator friendly and robust systems. * Ability to effectively work within and maintain company safety standards and policies. * Other duties as assigned Qualification Requirements * General. Senior Estimator General Description The Senior Estimator is responsible for and will oversee the preparation and review of all estimate packages, implementing department standards and procedures while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of estimate packages. Key Duties * Read/review plans, proposals, specifications, RFP's, and any other pertinent project related documents necessary to develop a competent and competitive bid proposal * Estimating projects which typically range from 5 million to 50 million dollars. * Estimating self-performed work and pricing the labor, equipment, and material costs. * Actively communicate with subcontractors and vendors to facilitate quotes * Prepare reports and analysis pertinent to estimating as requested by management * Pricing labor, equipment, and material costs. * Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases. * Ability to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings. * Ability to produce detailed, final contract estimates. * Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate. * Ability to identify potential construction issues through the estimating process. * Ability to identify value-engineering alternatives. * Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers * Working experience on HCSS software a plus. Asphalt Distributor Operator General Description An Asphalt Distributor Operator is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described more fully, below. An Asphalt Distributor Operator typically performs a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the work flow dictates. An Asphalt Distributor Operator consists of operating an asphalt distributor by applying specialize emulsions and/or liquid AC to roadways. Key Duties * Understand and execute paving procedures while following instructions to meet the standards of the project * Commercial Driver License (CDL) A or B with N-tanker & X-hazmat endorsement as well as an acceptable driving record * Drives and operates distributor truck equipped with tank to spray asphalt emulsions and/or liquid AC on road surfaces * Connects hose from storage tank to truck tank and moves lever to fill tank with asphalt liquids * Regulate burner to heat liquid and start auxiliary pump * Snap or screw on spray bars to attain required width of spray * Turn valve to regulate flow of material at specified rate and adjust levers to adjust height of spray bar from road surface * Monitor flow gages, tachometer and temperature gauge to insure uniform distribution * Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel and inspections for leaks and damage to machine before operation * Responsible for daily maintenance of equipment to remain in proper and safe working order * Responsible for notifying supervisor if equipment needs to be repaired * Understand and execute different emulsions and/or liquid AC * Shifts may vary according to project demands * Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts Qualification Requirements * General. General Description A Dozer Operator is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described more fully, below. A Dozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Dozer. General Description An Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for start-up and operation of hot mix asphalt mixing plants. Process involves placing raw aggregate and liquid asphalt materials through the mixing drum to be stored in silos until ready for load-out on trucks for delivery to job sites. General Description The Construction Engineer is an entry level engineering position in the heavy highway/civil and site development fields of construction. The Construction Engineer will report to the Project Engineer on a jobsite. * Produce labor and equipment cost reports to monitor production costs, drive billing, budgets and costs to complete. * Produce daily, weekly and monthly quantities to monitor production, drive management reports and reconcile owner quantities using Excel and SAP. * Assists Field Engineer and Project Engineer in updating project schedule in P6. * Initiates purchase orders, shop drawings, submittals and material deliveries. * Prepare the forecasted final cost reports; Bi-monthly accumulation of costs and quantities for comparison of an as-bid to as-built. The Roadway Quality Control Technician is responsible for monitoring all paving operations to ensure that the asphalt product being placed meets all contract specifications. The roadway quality technician must work and coordinate with paving personnel and project inspectors to ensure that contract specifications are being met. Once the paving work is completed, the roadway quality control technician is responsible for obtaining core sample specimens from the roadway and delivering them to the quality control laboratory for density testing. Excellent record keeping skills and being able to communicate effectively is a must for this position. This position will require availability from the candidate to work both day and night shifts, as well as weekends. Typical hours range from 40 to 70+ hours per week. General Description Under the direction of the Project Engineer, the Field Engineer will track quantities and cost, participate in work plan development, assist in the coordination between engineering and construction activities, and assist with contract management.
