General Description
The foreman supervises field operations of a grading crew. They will also engage in the trade work performed by the crew. For this position we are looking for full crews, including operators and laborers.
Key Duties
- Knowledgeable in the areas of excavation and grading
- Directly supervisors grading crew, reporting to Superintendent
- Operates and supervises the operation of heavy equipment on project sites
- Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications
- Provides reports on time and materials
- Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Use of heavy equipment and supervision of the use of heavy equipment
- Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes.
Requirements
- Experience operating relevant heavy equipment
- 5+ years, NCDOT, commercial and/or residential grading experience
- 3+ years supervisory experience
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs
