Cybersecurity interns at Cox Enterprises are an integral part of the Cyber team and are provided projects and tasks that leverage knowledge gained from their academic studies, as well as challenge and build their interpersonal skills to prepare them for the working world post-graduation. Cybersecurity exists to protect our business' critical information and technology assets from compromise and disruption so that our stakeholders and businesses can deliver on their responsibilities and ultimately continue to be profitable. Projects / assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Collaborate with business, technical and other relevant stakeholders to understand current areas of security risk, control standards and requirements. Support Cyber Defense initiatives that include improvements to security operations and supporting solutions, as well as threat detection and response capabilities Support Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance (“GRC”) programs to improve the way we collect and action on metrics, onboard new supplier relationships securely, and manage data and privacy governance policies and capabilities Support cloud security team through development and tuning of posture management policies Integrate with DevOps teams to represent cybersecurity and help keep our code, infrastructure, and apps secure Attributes / skills we seek: Learn and be curious.
