Process Technician - 2nd Shift
Where we need you
2nd Shift (3p-11p) $32-$38 w/ $1.25 Shift Differential
Scrap Rates for assigned presses
Monitor actual cycle times / efficiency
Upkeep of Process Parameter sheets (Info to Engineer)
Identify Problems (Press / Robot / EOAT) Feedback to Engineer)
Logbook Entry / Pass down of shift Issues
Keep Machines clean (Purge / Pellets / Parts & Runners in press / etc.)
Identify ROOT CAUSE and put into barco at each press stoppage (accurate data)
Cleaning of the tools in assigned area (each shift )
Proper Break times and not all together
Training of Setup in process and proper startup of the presses / tools
Other duties as needed.

What to Expect Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician to assist development and prototyping of lithium ion cells, focusing on labs-cale electrode fabrication and coin cell/pouch cell assembly with a secondary responsibility in pilot scale processes and operation. The candidate should be familiar with lithium ion cell manufacturing processes. The candidate will be a key member of a cross functional product development team.
What You'll Do
* In charge of lab-scale electrode and cell manufacturing processes: mixing, coating, pressing, cell assembly, electrolyte filling, and formation and testing
* Assist in pilot-scale process development and operation
* Operate lab-scale equipment, create and follow SOP
* In charge of in process quality check (IPQC)
* Conduct coin cell or pouch cell fabrication
* Conduct metrologies including mechanical/electrical testing
* Document analysis data with the use of travelers and process documents
* Lead the operation of cell assembly equipment to produce and test state-of-the-art prototype battery cells
* Assist in the optimization of process parameters to improve performance, quality and yield
* Trouble shoot with process or operation issues

Purpose
The Robotic Technician is a core production role responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting multiple automated manufacturing cells, including robotic assembly, anodize automation, scan box inspection, and future robotic systems. This technician ensures stable day-to-day operations, maintains equipment health, supports material flow, and helps drive production efficiency, quality, and safety on the shop floor.
This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented technician who excels at troubleshooting automation and mechanical issues in a fast-paced production environment.
The Role
As a Robotic Technician, you will support daily production across several automated work centers. You will operate equipment, maintain part flow, assist with routine maintenance, and respond to issues in real time to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality components for automotive, aerospace, and defense applications. You will collaborate with engineering, production leads, and other technicians to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Multi-Cell Production Operations
Operate, monitor, and support daily production across multiple automated cells-robotic assembly, anodize automation, scan box, and future robotic systems.
Maintain proper flow of parts through automated cells to avoid delays or bottlenecks.
Perform part preparation activities including masking, cleaning, light mechanical assembly, and adhesive-ready prep.
Complete digital assemblies and validation steps using required software, tools, or inspection systems.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and general shop equipment
Maintain clean, organized, and well-staged work areas; support other cells as needed.
Assist with material movement between work centers, including forklift operation.
Support shipping/receiving needs and basic shop logistics as required.
Help stage, organize, and track materials across multiple automated work cells
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform routine operational maintenance on robotic and automated equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic robotic, mechanical, and electrical issues to reduce downtime.
Documentation, Quality & Continuous Improvement
Assist with updating work instructions, process documentation, and checklists.
Report nonconformances and support corrective action processes.

Purpose
The Lead Robotic Technician is a key production role responsible for the operation, coordination, and continuous improvement of multiple automated and automated manufacturing cells, including robotic assembly, anodize automation, scan box inspection, and future robotic production systems. The Role
Multi-Cell Production Operations

Ensure each cell meets production targets for throughput, uptime, and quality.
Maintain accurate flow of parts through automated cells to prevent bottlenecks.

The Role

As Zoox transitions from its R&D phase into a service-oriented business, the Process Improvement team within Fleet Operations plays a critical role in operationalizing and scaling the policies and procedures that support our Fusion Center teams. Our mandate spans both internal operational excellence and the end-to-end customer experience.
We evaluate and refine workflows across the entire Fusion ecosystem - from agent processes and customer-facing communications to the procedures that enable rapid cleaning, repair, and return-to-service for vehicles. Our team actively identifies operational inefficiencies, uncovers opportunities for improvement, and ensures all processes are captured in clear, robust, and actionable playbooks.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented intern to support the development of Zoox Asynchronous Support ecosystem. In this role, you will build and maintain a Support Knowledge Base by creating clear, accurate internal documentation and customer-facing Help Center articles that empower riders to self-serve and enable our Fusion Center and Customer Experience teams to operate efficiently. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to validate content, uphold brand voice, and ensure documentation reflects current workflows and product capabilities.
Beyond content creation, you will conduct workflow analyses to identify process improvements, propose solutions, project manage improvements end-to-end and monitor key metrics to measure impact. You will also contribute to the design and iteration of chatbot workflows. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-obsessed, detail oriented, and excited to shape Zoox customer experience program and define scalable processes that delight end users.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain our Support Knowledge Base, including drafting, editing, and publishing clear, accurate internal process documentation for Fusion Center and Customer Experience teams.
* Create customer-facing Help Center articles to improve rider self-service, reduce inbound contact volume, and ensure content is easy to understand, up-to-date, and aligned with product capabilities.
* Partner cross-functionally to verify content accuracy, gather missing information, and ensure customer-facing content is aligned with branding and tone of voice.
* Support chatbot workflow development and iteration including mapping conversation paths, drafting responses, and performing QA to ensure the bot provides accurate and helpful guidance.
* Document Fused Workflows by converting fragmented, cross-functional workflows into single, end-to-end workflows to improve transparency and context amongst teams.
* Identify process gaps and inefficiencies across Fusion Center and Customer Experience workflows by conducting data pulls, analyzing trends, and summarizing issues for review.
* Develop clear, structured recommendations for process enhancements by outlining potential solutions, estimating impact, and preparing materials to support prioritization discussions.
* Coordinate and track operational improvement initiatives from scoping the project, managing project timelines, scheduling stakeholder alignment, documenting decisions, and ensuring follow-through on action items.
* Support reporting and operational analytics by pulling data, summarizing trends, and preparing readouts for leadership review.
Requirements
* Currently working towards an M.S.or advanced degree in Political Science, Economics or Business
* Good academic standing
* Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
* At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
* Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
* Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox

Purpose
This role is a key contributor to inspection activities, supporting complex measurements, training peers, and upholding high‑quality standards within the inspection team. You deliver accurate metrology data and inspection reports to ensure parts are compliant with engineering specifications.
The Role
Use metrology Scanners, such FARO, Romer, Creaform C‑Track, MetraSCAN, GOM ScanBox, to acquire geometrical scan data.
Process raw scan data, remove noise, and export files using comprehensive 3D metrology software such as PolyWorks & Zeiss.
Create and maintain inspection files, interpret results, and produce complete, accurate inspection reports.
Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to the requirements.
Perform inspections utilizing engineering drawings, standard procedures, calibrated manual gages/tools, and various inspection methods.
Record and maintain accurate data including inspection results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Assist Leadership with other various inspections and inspection-related tasks.
Keep the Metrology Lab clean, organized, and safe following 5S principles.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
At minimum 1 to 2 year of experience in a Quality inspector role in an aerospace, automotive, or other relevant production environment
High‑school diploma (required).
Proficient computer literacy (Windows, Teams, Excel, etc.).
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including knowledge of GD&T
Ability to lift parts up to 50 lb and operate scanning arms for extended periods.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or higher degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
