As an Automation or DevOps Tooling Intern, you may be assigned to one of the following teams:
On the Tools and Automation team, you will develop full-stack applications to support and enhance our QA Engineering processes. Your work will involve building scalable and efficient systems that integrate with various internal tools. Additionally, you will contribute to automation solutions to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
On the Release Management team, you will automate the existing release workflow, by developing new tooling and enhancing existing ones. This role requires someone passionate about automation and customer satisfactions, as those tools will be used both by the release team and by the rest of the company. Some examples of tools you might develop are dashboards to visualize the status of a release or trends of metrics across releases, automation of the approval process, from ingest of test results to sign off and deployment feature flag management tools, or propose tool and/or feature ideas to the team to improve and streamline processes.
On the Firmware Tools team, you will write software to help integrate internal and external tools for automated firmware prototyping, development, testing and integration. This role requires someone passionate about automation using both existing test frameworks, as well as developing new ones. In this role, you will develop software for an automated validation framework, supporting continuous integration (CI) and nightly tests. You'll be able to propose tool and/or feature ideas to the team to improve processes, integrate tester software systems with server infrastructure, and design and implement automated test framework optimizations.Requirements:
Currently working towards a B.S., M.S., Ph.D., or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program
Must be returning to school to continue your education upon completing this internship
Good academic standing
Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026

Basic Qualifications

* Knowledge of a variety of operations equipment including pressure washers, forklifts, tractors, etc.
* Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
* Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with CMS staff and the customers.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. This position is 29 hours a week plus additional hours and possible overtime during our event seasons. It is required that the position is available to work all three shifts during event weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED and one (1) year event operations experience in a large event facility, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Involvement in a College degree seeking track that requires an internship in the Facility Management or Event Management field. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license is required, and a clear driving record is required.
This is a paid internship at a hourly rate.
