KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Interior Detailing of Boats, Vehicles and Company Facilities
- Exterior Detailing of Boats, Vehicles and Company Facilities
- Knowledge/experience in the cutting, buffing polishing, and detailing of gelcoat.
- Able to review work orders and determine the scope of the job. When scope is greater, obtain approval from manager
- Inspect parts, equipment, and boats for cleanliness, damage and compliance with standards.
- Clean boats using scrapers, brushes, cloths, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid abrasives, vacuums, or hoses.
- Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, or other compounds, according to formulas.
- Clean and polish new, used and customer boats.
- Bottom and exterior washing of boats as necessary
- Responsible for checking cleanliness of all boats, covers installed properly and ready of pick up
- Clean-up areas daily
- Report all low inventory or shortages of cleaning products
- Ensures all equipment is returned to appropriate place after use
- Ensures all supplies, tools and equipment is in good working condition at all times
- Reports all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to department head
- Reports any fading gelcoat, cracks, holes or other defects to manager
- Follows all safety precautions and procedures at all times
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned
- Able to work an average of 40-50 hours per week.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, which include weekends, nights, days, and holidays.
- Able to walk and stand on your feet 8 to 10 hours at a time.
- Able to walk on tile, carpet, and up and down stairs.
- Able to wear a full face respirator
- 18 years old
- Familiarity of boats and operation previous experience helpful
- Professional appearance and positive attitude to all customers
- Organizational & cleaning skills are required for the position
- Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
- Have a valid state driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
