Dr. David Fisher is the chief administrative oversight officer at Bob Jones University. He holds a BS degree in social studies education and an MA and a PhD in church history.

Before assuming his current position, Dr. Fisher was a member of the university history faculty. Previously, he was a history teacher and the principal of Bob Jones Academy.

He has authored World History for Christian Schools a high school history textbook published by BJU Press. He speaks frequently at Christian education conferences promoting the cause of Christian education and God’s providence in history.

Carol A. Keirstead

Carol Keirstead joined the BJU administration in 2004 as Chief Communications Officer responsible for executive communications, public relations and internal communications.

Carol holds a BS in Secondary Education from Bob Jones University and an MS in Journalism from Boston University and has taken marketing and management development programs at the John F. Welch Management Development Center.

Prior to returning to BJU, Carol held a number of management positions in General Electric’s energy division where she was responsible for marketing electricity generation equipment around the globe including trade press/publicity, advertising, trade shows, sales promotion collateral, digital advertising and promotion tools, direct mail programs, new product launches and video productions.

She provided executive event and presentation support to senior management on a global basis and planned/executed select customer events for the division CEO and president of global sales. She served as business liaison with the United States Energy Association and industry associations such as Edison Electrical Institute and Association of Edison Illuminating Companies.

Prior to her marketing positions, she was supervisor of the Training Services Operation, responsible for writing and producing multi-media product and sales training programs for multiple GE businesses.

David Lovegrove

Chief Marketing Officer

David Lovegrove joined the President’s Cabinet in January 2019 as the chief marketing officer. He holds a BS from the School of Education at BJU and is a member of the American Marketing Association.

A native of Idaho Falls, Idaho, David is the son of a missionary pastor and a Christian school administrator. He began his career at an advertising agency in Atlanta, then ran a design and advertising business for nearly a decade. He also managed the printing division of National Fulfillment, Inc. and was a high school teacher at Forrest Hills Christian School.

He came to BJU in 2002 where he first managed the Art Agency and then Creative Services departments. He also served as an exhibition planner and designer for the Museum & Gallery. In 2012 he led the formation of the university’s first marketing department.

David speaks frequently at Christian education conferences about customer service, student experience, marketing, branding and advertising. He co-created Creative Reach conferences which provide training in marketing and design to churches, Christian schools and other ministries.

David serves as the curator of the Greer Heritage Museum and is a committee member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 519.

Gary M. Weier

Provost, EVP For Academic Affairs, Chief Academic Officer

Prior to serving in his current role as executive vice president for academic affairs, Gary Weier served at Bob Jones University as a full-time faculty member in the division of communication, as registrar, and then as vice president for administration.

While a full-time faculty member, Dr. Weier taught courses such as Public Speaking, Persuasion, Communication in Politics, Media and Society, Media Relations, and Rhetorical Theory. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in speech communication from BJU and a PhD in communication from Purdue University. He has studied as a summer fellow at Vanderbilt University’s Higher Education Management Institute.

Dr. Weier’s passion is to see students’ lives transformed through the unique learning experiences provided through a biblically faithful liberal arts education. His desire is for students to understand their potential in Christ and to experience a growing passion to know, love and serve Him.

He assists the president in setting the strategic direction for the University and oversees a gifted team that leads BJU’s academic and student life programs, including intercollegiate athletics, communications and marketing, and institutional research and planning. He also enjoys the opportunity to teach one or two communication courses each year.

Dr. Weier serves as an executive committee member on the board of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools and as vice president of the American Association of Christian Colleges and Seminaries. He has chaired or served as a team member for accreditation site visits at nearly a dozen colleges.

Kevin L. Taylor

In 2000, Kevin Taylor came to Bob Jones University to complete his master’s degree in educational leadership. Upon moving his family to Greenville, he was offered a position in Human Resources as the compensation manager. In August of 2008, he was promoted to Human Resources manager and broadened his responsibilities to include employee benefits management.

Kevin is a native of Decatur, Ill. He completed his undergraduate degree in pastoral theology from Hyles-Anderson College in 1986. Before coming to BJU, he worked in the steel warehousing industry in positions from warehousing, shipping & receiving, inside sales, to operations manager.

He is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the local chapter of the Greenville Society of Human Resources Management. He successfully completed the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Randy Page

Chief of Staff

Randy Page joined the President’s Cabinet in August 2017 as chief of staff responsible for advising the president on policy and processes, managing the president’s office and schedule, overseeing the president’s priority projects, representing the president internally and externally, and managing the University’s public and government relations.

Prior to being appointed chief of staff, Randy served as BJU’s director of public relations. He holds a BS in composite social studies education from Bob Jones University.

Before joining BJU in 2013, Mr. Page was president of South Carolinians for Responsible Government, one of the largest grassroots organizations in South Carolina, which lobbied state government for tuition tax credits for parents who homeschooled or sent their children to private schools.

He also served as director of public events for Gov. David Beasley, legislative director for Lt. Gov. Bob Peeler and chief of staff to Lt. Governor Andre Bauer. He has managed or consulted on numerous local, state and national election campaigns in South Carolina.

Randy serves on the boards of South Carolina Citizens for Life, the state affiliate of National Right to Life, and Palmetto Family Council, the state affiliate of Focus on the Family.

Mr. Page was awarded South Carolina’s highest civilian award-The Order of the Palmetto-in 1998, the Distinguished Service Award by the Bob Jones University Alumni Association in 2006, the President’s Award by South Carolina Citizens for Life in 2013 and the Distinguished Service Award by the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools in 2015. He has been listed in Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Politics.

Page was a delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention where he served on the Platform Committee and as a member of the Electoral College and to the 2016 convention where he served on the Credentials Committee. He currently serves as co-chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party’s Platform Committee and as a member of the Faith Engagement Committee for the S.C. GOP.
