Job Title Clearance Material Handler
The Clearance Material Handler plays a vital role in supporting both retail/showroom operations and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for ensuring merchandise is received, staged, organized, and maintained with accuracy and care, while also supporting showroom readiness and inventory integrity. Working closely with warehouse and store leadership, visual merchandising, and unloading teams, this role helps create a safe, efficient, and well-organized environment that enables excellent customer service both on the sales floor and behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
Load clearance merchandise on trailer as instructed
Kit clearance merchandise as instructed
Inspect and ensure that merchandise is up to up to standards
Report damages, discrepancies etc.
Dispose of merchandise to be trashed as instructed
Maintain trash locations (staging, aging, systematic location accuracy)
Ensure clearance lanes/locations are well maintained (merchandise properly staged, locations are accurate)
Assist putting away returned merchandise when needed
Assist unloading returned merchandise when needed
Assist picking outlet goods when needed
Assist in all areas of the DC when needed
Unload merchandise for store/outlet - including receiving and new store set up merchandise
Inspection of merchandise for outlet when receiving
Check inventory tags of product when received and either staged on floor or warehouse
Properly stage merchandise in backroom (designated locations)
Report merchandise discrepancies to leadership
Replenish store/outlet floor as instructed
Assemble merchandise sets as instructed
Sterilize the outlet product
Ensure backroom is well maintained
Move “take with” merchandise from store/outlet to customer load out area
Load out “take with” merchandise for customers
Assist the customer pick-up team in loading out merchandise for customers when needed
Properly sort trash/recyclable material and take it to the warehouse recycling area
Trained to utilize the One Door store application for sales floor product placement
All other duties as assigned

The Asset Protection (AP) team's function is to keep our customers, teams and brands safe. AP partners with the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) to prepare for, respond to, and recover from a variety of emergencies. AP also protects company profits by mitigating shrinkage risks, as well as preventing, investigating, and resolving theft, to ensure merchandise is available for our customers.
Asset Protection's strategies are driven by our three Asset Protection Pillars:
* Protect People by providing support for employee and customer safety.
* Protect Physical Spaces by protecting our assets which include both building and merchandise.

When working in Asset Protection, no two days will be the same, however a typical day in the life of an Asset Protection Agent will likely include the following responsibilities:
* Resolve theft by using good judgment and conduct quality apprehensions in high shrinkage areas while strictly adhering to policy, procedures, and AP leadership guidance.
* Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, reporting and surveillance tactics.
* Drive a shrinkage reduction culture by implementing action plans and merchandise protection standards.
* Identify, escalate, and support internal theft investigations through various methods including, but not limited to, exception-based reporting and surveillance systems.
* Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP Leadership and Investigation teams.
* Use video systems to monitor theft activity and support investigations.
* Leverage RFID data to view merchandise movement at the highest level and aid item level investigations with merchandise inaccuracies.
* Maintain the general safety and security of customers, employees, and store by responding to, escalating, and reporting all store security and emergency incidents including medical emergencies.
* Support the security of our physical spaces and those within by leading security audits, participating in store meetings, and leading shrinkage awareness efforts and training within the store.
* Serve as a member of the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and actively participate in store emergency response training, including First Aid.
* Prepare and submit prompt and complete reports for all high-profile incidents, merchandise recoveries, investigations, policy violations, safety incidents and other illegal activities, etc.
* Testify in court when summoned for criminal and/or civil cases.
* Build cross functional partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment with at least 1 year lead or management experience.
Understanding of supply chain and distribution center operations.
Experience in using a warehouse management system (WMS) - preferably SAP, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob's
Physical Demands
Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 80%
Sitting, desk and phone work: 20%
