Salary was decent but I had been there 30 years Fun to work with people I had know that long I loved the work I did - machining. I could work alone
Management was terrible. They didn’t know enough about machining to run the machining area effectively. They didn’t understand that they needed more people and more NEWER machines to do the job. We had to work every weekend and they didn’t care about us as employees. They also don’t care about the safety of their employees. Things take literally years to be fixed that take a toll on your body DAILY.
Health insurance. 401K 6% company match
Nothing. They are all ignorant and rude Human Resources has a high turnover because nobody can stand to enforce the rules that are imposed upon us. Also they don’t know things. They give us phone numbers to call if we have a question
Fire all the management Try to get along with employees and appreciate them instead of paying less than other big companies.
I knew I could run all of the machines in the building from past experience so I relied on past experience!
They say we are at market value. The companies they use to compare are non existent. We make a global product and should be compensated like people Who make other large construction equipment. They think we’re stupid and lie to us all the time about “market value”.
This is fine at Bobcat. They cover all this at a presentation every year where we all have to stand in the shipping bay like a bunch of cattle and pretend we can hear what is being said
The people I work with! Also quitting time is pretty delightful
