The selected candidate will become a Principal / Sr. Principal Civil/Structural Design Engineer on the Infrastructure Design Team (INF). This role supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil/Structural elements for Sentinel Launch Facilities, or Test Facilities. This role will be located in Roy, UT.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating civil/structural systems design for the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.
Subject matter expert supporting the design of high complexity civil/structural systems, including structural steel design drawings, concrete forming, steel structures, and reinforcing design drawings.
Review structural design/selection/engineering for modularized fabrication.
Interpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.
Participate in project design/model reviews.
Review subcontractors design product quality/accuracy by reviewing civil/structural designs and validating that current standards are applied and integrated into the design solution.
Support the delivery of Civil/Structural facility design Technical Data Packages, Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.
Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues
Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline.
Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities.
Developing and maturing Civil/Structural facility designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.

Trajectory simulations include, but are not limited to, payload to range, post boost vehicle maneuverability, weapon system effectiveness, accuracy, vehicle environment characterization, and flight test predictions. The Flight Analysis Manager will have key responsibility in supporting the evaluation of the missile's effectiveness against threat systems. They will also analyze other missile performance metrics related to that analysis. The Flight Analysis Team also owns the program level, end to end, 6DOF simulation. The team is responsible for development of this simulation, in collaboration with other teams, to ensure that the Weapon System meets requirements and stakeholder needs are met. Job responsibilities include software development of this simulation and other associated scripts and tools necessary to perform the above analyses.
