SummaryHave you ever wondered what makes a turbofan engine so cool? Some people think it's the fan, or the high- or low-pressure turbines, or the combustor, or even the augmentor (on military engines). On my team we think it's the logic and software that stitch all those subsystems together to form a cohesive operating machine - one that can readily respond to pilot inputs while still providing safe and fuel-efficient thrust to complete the mission. This logic also provides diagnostic and prognostic capabilities to better support our customers' fleet needs. In this role we design, develop, validate, and qualify new engine control algorithms and strategies to deliver innovative products for exciting Military applications. Work would range from early science and technology programs to New Product Introduction (NPI) in support of the next generation of aviation products.
