IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE: As a Dispute Specialist I at BECU, you'll be the trusted advocate for our members, helping them navigate the complexities of debit and credit card disputes. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that every member feels heard, supported, and protected. You'll be the expert they rely on when transactions don't go as planned-whether it's unauthorized activity or merchant-related issues. By delivering timely and accurate resolutions, you'll uphold our commitment to integrity, compliance, and member-first service. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Process Dispute Claims: Receive and manage incoming Regulation E and Regulation Z dispute claims, including debit and credit card transactions, ensuring each case is handled with care and precision. Investigate Thoroughly: Conduct initial research and gather all necessary documentation to support the resolution of each claim, ensuring a fair and accurate outcome. Apply Regulatory Knowledge: Identify the nature of each claim and apply the correct regulatory guidelines (Reg E or Reg Z) to ensure compliance and member protection. Communicate with Care: Keep members informed throughout the dispute process using phone, email, and mail-providing clear updates and requesting additional documentation when needed. Prepare Chargebacks: Create and submit chargebacks and case documentation in alignment with card network and association standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Document with Precision: Maintain clear, thorough, and organized records of all claim activity within the dispute management system. Collaborate for Complex Cases: Escalate high-risk or complex claims to senior team members when needed, ensuring every case receives the appropriate level of expertise. Information Technology (IT) Disaster Recovery (DR) Program is in the second line of defense and is accountable for CNB's Disaster Recovery strategy, enabling CNB to provide independent oversight and effective review and challenge (R&C) of disaster recovery program.
