UAF Utilities Department is looking for an energetic self-starter looking to enter a long-term career in the power generation field as a CT1 Boiler Firer Trainee. While on shift, you will be performing tasks that are in line with an entry level position including but not limited to: Janitorial work, assisting other trades/crafts during maintenance/unplanned plant outages, working with the CT2 Boiler Firer and CT3 Operator on your shift to get on-the job training, and to participate in the Utilities Operator Training Program, which will can potentially lead to your becoming a CT3 Operator.
