Job Description
The Client Relationship Specialist III supports relationship managers and clients in the management of the commercial banking portfolios, including compliance/operational processes, ensuring that all of the commercial banking processes flow effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive understanding of role and work is completed with limited review and guidance from CSR IV and Supervisor. Range of customers supported is broader than CSR II and work is moderately complex to complex.

How You'll Spend Your Time
* You will proactively interact with clients, attorneys, and accountants on a limited basis regarding routine to moderately complex account inquiries, problem resolutions, and/or account maintenance issues.
* You'll support the Commercial Lenders clients and business partners through report monitoring, collaboration, research, and problem-solving on routine to moderately complex issues.
* You'll utilize Know Your Customer and Consumer Due Diligence on all new clients, including completing most of the documentation and entering the information into TouchPoint Sales and Service.
* You'll manage exception reports and the requirements and process of clearing outstanding exceptions promptly.
* You'll develop, design, and maintain information in spreadsheets and database programs using various software programs' most complicated features while generating and distributing routine reports, with oversight from a Client Relationship Specialist IV or Supervisor.
* You'll assist Commercial Lending Officers in developing new lending and depository business with existing and prospective customers, including preparing packages for Bank product presentations, with guidance from CRS IV or Supervisor.
Education & Experience Requirements
Required level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate's Degree and 4 years' experience in a banking or customer service environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The VP, Underwriter will perform analysis, due diligence and underwriting of proposed Small Business Administration loan requests. Review initial borrower submissions, perform analysis of information submitted and prepare a written credit presentation of construction, real estate, and commercial loan requests. The primary purpose of this position is to independently evaluate the credit worthiness of loan requests covering both existing customers and new credit relationships. Aside from performing financial analysis and cash flow calculations as well as the determining the viability of each credit request based on Banc of California's lending criteria, the position holder is responsible for the timely, effective and efficient completion of required underwriting tasks to make recommendations and creating the appropriate Loan Report for eventual forwarding to and obtaining approval from Credit Management. The underwriter interacts and effectively communicates with Bank personnel and with existing or prospective clients. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Review and evaluate loan application packages for completeness and eligibility under Small Business Lending Loan Program guidelines.
Develop thorough understanding of the nature and history of the applicant's business, the market in which the business operates, and assess the capability of its management.
Complete spreadsheet of financial statements and/or tax returns.
Analysis of tax returns, financial statements, and cash flow calculations.
Effectively function as a member of the deal team to assess the credit worthiness of prospective borrowers.
Recommend the approval, decline and/or restructuring of specific loan request.
Identify the credit risk and suggest mitigants. Apply appropriate asset-based lending techniques when evaluating collateral where applicable.
Prepare and complete the Loan Report for submission and approval of Small Business Administration Loan Program request by Credit Management.
Participate in credit committee meetings as appropriate.
Assist in the preparation and completion of Commitment Letters (as needed) to ensure that the approval conditions imposed by Credit Management are spelled clearly to all parties.
Review documents related to loan request, including but not limited to, UCC filings, appraisal report, Title policies & issues, lease agreements, credit reports, etc.
Review loan documents to ascertain key components of the credit facility.
Ensures compliance with all Bank's policies.

How You'll Spend Your Time
* You'll order, obtain, and analyze all pertinent applicant/borrower and property or collateral documentation and verifications related to the processing of loan transactions.

Job Description
The Credit Products Underwriter II - Commercial is primarily responsible for underwriting complex financial transactions, including the financing of investment real estate, owner-occupied real estate, working capital, equipment, and LBOs/acquisitions, healthcare-related opportunities as well as credits augmented with an SBA guarantee. In addition, the CPU II is responsible for providing product and industry expertise to the client by designing and executing solutions for complex clients and transactions. A high volume (50% +) of the Credit Requests are from prospects which require additional level of due diligence and analysis. The CPU II will have multiple active credit requests from various Relationship Managers and various geographic locations and must be able to prioritize and exhibit strong time management. The CPU II will have client facing responsibilities, providing the necessary consultation to deliver the best possible integrated solution to the client. Good communication skills (written and verbal) must be present to effectively communicate with the various Relationship Managers and other BOKF personnel. How You'll Spend Your Time

+ Manage cross-product dependencies and collaborate with other Product Owners to resolve conflicts and align priorities.
+ Ensure compliance with governance, security, and cost management policies.
+ Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.

Basic Qualifications
