Our hospitals, care sites and clinicians are recognized for clinical and operational excellence. **Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics & Adult Med Surg - St. Rita's Medical Center** ***Unit does see overflow adult patients*** **Full-Time Days** **7am-7pm** **Job Summary:** The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by: + Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status + Determining the priority of the patient's problems and needs + Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care + Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes + Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment **Essential Functions:** + In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, and safely demonstrates basic knowledge of the contemporary nursing practice + Provides episodic (outpatient) and inpatient (at designated units) pediatric nursing care where applicable + Applies knowledge of contemporary Pediatric nursing practice and future innovations + Utilizes nursing practice to the care of pediatric patients that require nursing assessment and interdisciplinary team interventions + Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes + Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures + Other duties as assigned **Education:** + Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required) **Certifications:** + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + BLS Basic Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, PALS required within 6 months of hire based on departmental requirements) **Experience:** + One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Recent Medical/Surgical, NICU, Pediatric, OB, ED or critical care experience (preferred, not required) **Training:** + EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required) As a Bon Secours Mercy Health associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.     Summit County Juvenile Detention Center Part-Time 24 Hours A Week The Registered Nurse (RN) provides a skilled level of care to select patients by assessing and monitoring their physical condition, supporting and providing patient/caregiver education, and providing treatments and procedures based on a physician ordered plan of care. The RN helps the patient achieve and/or maintain their optimal level of function and provides a level of care required to manage the patient in a home and community environment. Responsibilities: 1. Serves as a back-up for office RNs as deemed necessary in updating comprehensive assessments due to changes in patient condition or 60-day regulatory follow-ups. 6.
