Perform all assigned operations in area required to bond aircraft parts, components, assemblies, and related accessories. Follow detailed oral or written instructions, drawings, specifications, and prescribed procedures to perform various bonding, fitting and related operations on wood, plastic, rubber, sheet metal, etc., parts and assemblies. Trim, file, scrape, sand, deburr, countersink, and drill such parts as emergency hatches, voltage regulator assemblies, fuel cell cover assemblies, bulkheads, etc., as warranted to obtain specified fit.
Weigh, mix, and blend adhesives as specified. Clean parts, apply adhesives, load parts in fixture and prepare for the appropriate press, oven, vacuum, or cold bond operations. Regulate temperatures, pressures, and times as directed to conform to individual job requirements. Make or adapt protective strips, blocks, etc., to prevent damage during clamping and bonding.
As required perform rework and repair operations. Refer unusual conditions or recurring difficulties to higher grade bonder, working leader, or supervisor.
Basic Qualifications
Requires knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and ability to read and interpret ordinary drawings, operation sheets, engineering orders, etc.
Use a variety of variable measuring instruments, dials, etc.
Requires some knowledge of bonding methods and procedures equivalent to short specialized training.
High School diploma or equivalent.
6 months to 1 year of experience.

What you'll do
Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials, as necessary.
Record repairs and maintenance performed.
Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
What you'll need
High school diploma or GED preferred
Communication - effectively communicates with other employees
Basic Measuring - use various measuring devices and gages as required
Advanced Measuring - use various complex measuring devices and gages as required
Blueprint Reading - interprets drawings
Work from bills of material, purchasing lists, shipping documents and parts/shop supplies
Basic computer skills are preferred
