2012

BookBub was founded in January 2012 by Josh Schanker and Nicholas Ciarelli.

2013

Cartwright joined the company in 2013 and served as our President of United States Information Services (USIS) prior to his appointment.

2014

In September 2014, BookBub launched in the UK.

2015

In May 2015, BookBub raised $7 million in new equity and debt financing from its existing investors.

2019

In 2019, BookBub had 120 employees, 15 million subscribers, and launched an audiobook division called Chirp.
