WORKING AT BCI PACKAGING
We have two BCI Packaging production facilities in Missouri. Our organizational headquarters in St. Peters has 60,000 sq. ft. of production space, warehouse and executive offices, and accommodates 19 production lines. The building also features Andrew's Clubhouse and Andrew's Outfield, special indoor and outdoor St. Louis Cardinals-themed gathering spaces funded by our friends at Andrew's Hugs.
The second facility in Moscow Mills has 23,000 sq. ft. of production floor and warehouse space and operates 5 production lines. This is a unique facility that is smaller than St. Peters and is compliant in Safe Quality Food regulations.
Both facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art features to help keep our employees safe at work.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT

Responsibilities
Strategic Event Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive events plan that aligns with Dana-Farber's strategic objectives and advances the Institute's reputation and supports workforce retention, recruitment, and engagement during ramp up and including launch of the Future Cancer Hospital. Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, transportation, event promotion, and logistics. Job Summary:
A Surgical Technologist, also known as a Surg Tech or Operating Room Technician, is a key member of the surgical team who assists in preparing for and facilitating surgeries. They ensure that the operating room is sterile, organized, and equipped with the necessary instruments and supplies. Surg Techs play a critical role in patient safety by maintaining aseptic techniques and supporting the surgical team during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Preoperative Preparation:
Set up the operating room with surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and other necessary supplies.
Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment and instruments.
Verify and maintain the sterile field to meet safety standards.
Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting incision sites and positioning them on the operating table.
Intraoperative Assistance:
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and other team members during procedures.
Anticipate the surgeon's needs to ensure a smooth workflow.
Manage specimens for laboratory analysis following proper protocols.
Assist with retracting tissue, applying suction, or cutting sutures as directed.
Postoperative Duties:
Clean and restock the operating room after procedures.
Ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials and sharps.
Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist in transferring patients to recovery areas.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Communicate effectively with team members to address any concerns or equipment needs during surgery.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to strict aseptic and infection-control techniques.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on advancements in surgical techniques and technology.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training.
Certifications:
Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is often preferred or required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
