SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safe operation and basic maintenance of a vehicle transporting students to and from schools or school-authorized events, in accordance to policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to assuring the safe operations surrounding the transportation of all riders; student management and discipline; maintaining schedules and route reference materials; and communication with parents/guardians, students and school officials.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Listed below are the essential tasks required for this job.
Job Tasks Descriptions
1. Report at required times and maintain assigned scheduled times with an emphasis on safety.
2. Operate, inspect, and report defects of transportation vehicles in all weather and road conditions.
3. Provide support for students with disabilities, including, but not limited to the proper use of transportation equipment, attend to hygienic needs and behavioral challenges, monitor medical conditions and utilize specialized communication tools.
4. Communicate with district representatives, parents/guardians and community members.
5. Maintain assigned vehicle cleanliness and route guides.
6. Be familiar with, adhere to and enforce all regulations, policies and procedures for school bus operation and student transportation safety and conduct including use of student monitoring technology.
7. Monitor and manage behavior of all riders using management strategies and student discipline while monitoring for suspected child abuse, harassment, bullying and medical conditions.
8. Identify and respond to emergency situations on the bus which may include the administration of standard First Aid, body fluid clean-up and evacuation procedures.
9. Accept responsibility for the safe transportation of students and assure they are all accounted for after each run, route or trip including use of student monitoring technology.
10. Complete and submit mandatory paperwork to the Transportation Director.
11. Provide input to dispatch, routing and supervisors concerning the effectiveness and accuracy of assigned routes in respect to design, student stops, safety issues, time and student information.
12. Maintain professional communication and demeanor with all district employees, students and community members while being responsible for a safe and collaborative environment on the bus and maintaining a positive work environment.
13. Communicate on a two-way radio system in accordance with Federal Communications Commission regulations.
14. Successfully complete all required courses, evaluations, and meetings.
15. Collaborate in the planning of bus evacuation plans and student management techniques on assigned routes.
16. Report any bus accidents immediately, and stay on scene until released by the Transportation Director.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. Provide support to special education students in the regular and special education classrooms. Supports may include:
assisting students by adapting work,
monitoring and enforcing social and acceptable behavior,
implementing health care plans, toileting assistant, academic support etc.
Assist children in the cafeteria, at recess or any other time help is required, including getting on and off the bus.
Assist in crisis situations often involving physically aggressive students including, but not limited to, restraining and documentation.
If working with behavior students, trained in CPI and understands the rules and regulations pertaining to management of behaviors and protocol safeguards.
Implement specialized therapy programs.
Leaning, bending, reaching, over work space to use proximity and support for a child working.
These supports are defined in student IEPs and are provided under the direct supervision of the case manager/teacher.
2. Assist students with classroom activities. Assist with curriculum instructional delivery to both individual and small groups to ensure mastery of subjects.
3. Assist teacher(s) with grading, attendance and instructional centers, etc. Assist in preparing materials; laminating, copying, filing, etc.
4. Mentor, support and assist students with a variety of abilities and disabilities to become competent, independent adults.
5. Supervise and monitor students during playground, lunchroom, field trips, passing periods, classroom activities, etc. Support eloping students by keeping them within 3-5 feet to ensure the student remains safe. Must be physically able to run with student to keep them in close proximity.
6. Assist injured or sick students to health room.
7. Cover classroom for short periods (i.e. up to 30 minutes) when the teacher is called out of the classroom for staff meetings or other reasons.
8. Assist with assessment testing and monitoring of student performance.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Program and manage audiovisual switchers and inputs; replace projector lamps, filters and units as needed.
Maintain and troubleshoot printers and print servers, including toner replacement, jam resolution, network configuration, and queue management.
Provide technical assistance for computers, peripherals, and audiovisual equipment in classrooms, labs, and offices.
Repair equipment in-house or coordinate transport to outside repair facilities.
Perform routine cleaning, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on district technology equipment.
Order, receive, inventory and stock technology equipment, supplies, and replacement parts.
Unpack, inspect, test, tag and prepare new equipment for deployment.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, inventory, and equipment histories.
Maintain working knowledge of network operating systems and basic WAN/LAN functionality.
Assist with the installation and deployment of new software, systems, and upgrades.
Engage in professional development to stay current with areas of responsibility.
Complete required training.

Essential Functions
Year-round responsibilities
Formulate objectives for the coming sport season as it would pertain to player personnel and assistant coaching responsibilities.
Keep abreast of new ideas and techniques by attending clinics and workshops, reading in his/her field and encouraging the assistant coaches to do the same.
Be knowledgeable of rules and regulations concerning his/her sport, and changes which occur.
Be active in professional organizations such as the state coaches association.
Inventory, selection, care and maintenance of equipment.
Seasonal Responsibilities
Before season
Assist Activities Director with proper registration of all athletes at the beginning of the season.
Assist Activities Director in the collection necessary fees.
Assist Activities Director in compiling eligibility lists and other reports.
Be aware of and post an emergency phone and doctors list.
Arrange for a systematic issuance of school equipment.
Make sure all athletes have had physicals.
Explain all regulations of the district.
Clarify to athletes the letter award policy.
Select and instruct team managers on proper care of equipment, facilities, and other duties assigned.
Check arrangements for all bus trips with the Activities Director.
During Season
Assume responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used.
Assume supervisory control over all phases of teams in the program.
Organize and schedule practice sessions on a regular basis with the idea of developing the athlete's greatest potential.
Apply discipline in a firm and positive manner.
See that facility regulations are understood and enforced.

Arrange for the systematic return of all school equipment and hold the athlete responsible for all equipment not returned.
Arrange for cleaning, storing, and conducting an inventory of all equipment.
Recommend those student athletes who have fulfilled requirements for athletic letters, certificates or special awards.
Evaluate past season.
Recommend additions and/or improvements for the care and maintenance of facilities.
Recommend personnel changes to the Activities Director and principal.
Submit recommendations for schedule for the next year.
Select equipment and make recommendations for purchases of such to the Activities Director.
Maintain records of team and individual accomplishments and submit a copy to the Activities Director.
Other Functions

Ensure the safety of all patrons in and around the pool
Know and enforce pool rules and regulations
Understand and execute pool emergency procedure
Inspect facilities for cleanliness and safety, take action as necessary
Complete all necessary preventative and regular maintenance, counts, pool checks as assigned
Ensure that safety equipment is present and at each guard station
Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer basic first aid when necessary to stabilize victim until emergency medical service can respond
Attend all assigned meetings and in-services
Perform other such duties and function as are necessary or incidental to the proper performance of this position
