Nurse externs selected for this program will work in the clinical setting with highly qualified preceptors. Nurse externs will have the flexibility to work 216 hours during the 8-week program in the summer or 108 hours during the 4-week program in the winter. Implement radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff, by adhering to ALARA guidelines. Maintain accurate records within clinical documentation support systems; Manages imaging data in PACS and documents procedures in EMR.
