Core hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with flexibility for occasional earlier mornings, evenings, school holidays, overnights and travel. Flexibility is a must! The role centers around four wonderful children: three spirited girls, aged 11, 9, and 7, and their 2-year-old brother. The children's well-being and development remain the household's highest priority. During the academic year, the girls are in school from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while their brother enjoys a morning of active play, lunch, and a 12:30‑2:30 p.m. nap. He will likely be in preschool part-time in the fall. They keep busy in the summer with camps, tutoring sessions, and other morning activities for the older children. To give the parents concentrated time with the children, the nanny will handle everyday household tasks such as packing lunches, doing the dishes (sometimes from the night before to allow parents to spend more quality time with the kiddos), family laundry, light tidying (wiping counters, spot‑vacuuming), running errands, grocery shopping and other organizational projects that keep the home running smoothly. They follow a gluten-free diet and keep a nut-free home due to food allergies and appreciate a nanny who can be vigilant in the kitchen. A weekly cleaning service manages deep cleaning.
