Duties
During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or prior service in federal law enforcement positions covered by special retirement provisions. The Secret Service has determined that age is essential to the performance of this position.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

Position Description
The City of Tolleson is seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Police Officer - Lateral for the Tolleson Police Department. The Police Officer will ensure the safety and security of citizens, municipal streets, buildings, residences, and neighborhoods. Responsibilities include: responding to criminal and public calls for service including fires, automobile accidents, crimes, neighborhood disturbances, and other requests from citizens; responding to crimes in progress; conducting investigations; conducting welfare checks; resolving civil disputes; providing riot control; assisting the homeless population; removing roadway debris; assisting disabled vehicles; and related activities. Qualifications

Job Summary
The Maricopa County Community College District Police Department invites highly motivated and professional law enforcement candidates to a new and exciting opportunity as a collegiate Police Officer - Lateral.

What You Need to Succeed in this Role

Hiring Incentive:
For those that are new to the City of Chandler - $3,500 paid in two installments, $1,750 paid upon hire with first paycheck and $1,750 paid upon successful completion of Probation. You will be required to complete a 12-month probationary period.
Test Date:
The following steps are required to participate in the Chandler Police Department physical fitness testing and oral interviews currently scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026. If you do not complete the following steps, you will not be allowed to participate in the testing.
Written Examination:
After submitting your application, you will be contacted by the City of Chandler, Human Resources Department with complete instructions on how and when to complete the required written examination. The written examination is offered through the National Testing Network (NTN). The NTN offers full testing services for the position of Police Officer Recruit. Here are a few other important items.
After receiving written examination instructions from Human Resources, sign up to take the examination right away. Once you have taken the examination, be sure to share your results with the City of Chandler. Your examination results are good for 12-months; however, if you took the examination previously, you do not need to take it again. All applicants who receive a passing score on the examination, will be placed on the department's eligibility list.
Upon completion of your scheduled exam, scores are automatically forwarded to City of Chandler Police Department. Candidates who attain a passing score on the entry level exam will be placed on City of Chandler Police Department's eligibility list. The City of Chandler Police Department will contact candidates on the list and will invite them to participate in further stages of the selection process.
The NTN is a service provided to conduct entry level testing in a standardized, professional environment. An employee in this class receives academy instruction and field training in the areas of patrol methods, causes of criminality, courtroom procedures, fingerprinting, community relations, and other law enforcement topics to prepare for appointment to the position of Police Officer. Upon successful completion of training, an incumbent performs law enforcement patrol activities in a designated area of the City. Duties performed may involve an element of personal danger, and the employee must take action without direct supervision and exercise independent judgment in meeting emergencies. Work assignments are made by a Police Sergeant or other superior, and work methods and results are checked through personal inspections and review of reports and discussions. Work requires occasional physical exertion under adverse circumstances. An employee in this class is subject to rotating shifts, weekend, and holiday work.
