JOB TITLE: Operator, Assembly FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Manufacturing (Assembly) Under the direct supervision of the department supervisor, the Production Operator/Associate is assigned to standardized work of routine nature involving molding machine operation and/or assembly of molded part. Performs tasks in accord with standard levels of performance required to meet production rate established for specific part(s) being worked. Performs routine cleaning chores to maintain cleanliness of work station and area per 5S requirements. Interface with the production monitoring system. Assist in color changes / mold changes by cleaning work area or equipment. Set up for next job (i.e., sample board, OIS, packaging). Assist with breaks for other operators. Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for 2nd Shift Machine Operators in South Bend, Indiana! 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am (Midnight) Pay: $17 - $27 per hour depending on experience This vacancy will be located at a production machine shop that utilizes CNC equipment to support close tolerance and complex components. CNC equipment consists of horizontal milling, 5th axis milling, mill/turn and lathe styles ranging in capabilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Operate CNC machine controls and change tool settings to keep product dimensions within specified tolerances. Stock and disposition product in multiple machining equipment, as required. Replace, position, & secure cutting tooling in tool holders on CNC machines, using hand tools. Inspect product to verify conformance within required specifications, using a variety of measurement and inspection equipment. Perform limited total productive maintenance at the specified intervals. Perform limited data collection requirements, such as SPC or daily production information. CNC Operator 2 must be proficient in operating one or more of the following additional areas: 4-axis, 5-axis, turning, mill-turn & Swiss work centers. Power Drive - Dyno Test Stand Operator Job Overview: Test Stand Operator - The individual will be attaching all necessary tooling needed on a transmission to make it capable of running on the test stand. They will be using a hoist to lift and move transmissions on and off the test stand. When attached to the test stand pressure hoses will be need plugged in and oil added to the transmission. While the unit is on the stand the operator will be checking for abnormal noise, vibration, leaks, and they will be prompted by the computer to perform shifts and other steps. They will verify the unit passes all steps being checked by the computer. Units that pass will be warm and the individual will then remove all tooling from transmission and plug openings with plastic plugs and metal plugs that will be torqued using a torque wrench. Finally, the individual will use cleaner and compressed air to clean all oil off unit.
