QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES):
* Be at least 21 years of age or older (required for the school bus endorsement of the CDL)
* High School diploma or GED required, CDA or Associate's degree preferred
* Previous childcare or early childhood education experience required
* Must have a valid Driver's License
* CDA must be obtained within two years of employment (Agency pays for classes and testing and pay increases upon completion)
* Have a valid CDL or willing to obtain one within 90 working days of employment and maintain Department of Transportation legal status requirements to transport children. (Agency pays for training and additional testing)
* Must be physically and emotionally able to work with young children.
* Ability to communicate with children, parents, and other professionals.
* Ability to safely, and physically transport a child (0-5 years old); vision and hearing adequate to supervise children in the classroom area and on the playground; ability to be at child's eye level.
* Computer skills sufficient to use online program to enter data, and to guide children in use of classroom technology.
* Willingness to complete pre-employment background check including federal fingerprints, physical, drug test, and TB test as required by all applicable regulations.

* Monday-Thursday 7AM-4PM
* Must work 36 hours but are paid for 40, other 4 hours can be utilized on Fridays for catch-up
* Some Fridays are required (4 hours only) through out the school year for In-Service and Training times, all dates are provided up front).

position, with summers off.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supports with the development and implementation of individualized and group lesson plans and
educational activities that promote all developmental areas to improve the readiness of children for
school.
2. Guides and facilitates activities of the children including daily classroom activities and field trips. Uses
creativity to provide healthy and safe activities that are developmentally and age appropriate.
3. Selects and sets up equipment and materials in the classroom. Ensures there is a safe and healthy
developmentally appropriate learning environment.
4. Maintains accurate records, both on paper and in designated on-line systems. Maintains confidentiality
regarding students and families.
5. Supports with the collection and data entry of child observations. Maintains a comprehensive and
ongoing portfolio assessment for each child including weekly observations, examples of the child's
work, and developmental assessments.
6. Composes and proofreads correspondence and reports.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience Requirements:
* High school or GED. Hold a pre-school CDA credential or state-awarded certificate that meets/exceeds the requirements
for a pre-school CDA credential. If no pre-school CDA credential, must enroll in a pre-school CDA credential program upon hire to be
completed within 2 years of hire or enrolled in program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree in ECE or related field to be
completed within 2 years of hire.* At least 2 years of experience working with preschool children preferred. (Base pay $16.17)
* Associate's degree in child development or early childhood or related field* (Base pay $17.75)
* Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education, or related field* (Base pay $19.33)
Require completion of CPR/First Aid within a month of hire.
Willingness to work towards any additional credentials needed to move to the next
level in the position, this may include continued education.
