Job Title:
Heart Failure NursePractitioner (HF NP) & IV Infusion NursePractitioner (IV NP)
HF NP: Duties will focus on comprehensive management of heart failure patients in the outpatient clinic, coordinate patient education, and perform intensive phone triage. This includes telephone-based assessment and management of urgent heart failure-related concerns, offering guidance on symptom management, medication adjustments, and urgent care needs to help reduce hospital readmissions.
IV NP: Duties include clinical management of cardiology patients receiving intravenous and subcutaneous therapies in an outpatient cardiology clinic, infusion suite/clinic, or hospital-based setting. This role involves providing direct patient care in collaboration with cardiologists, NPs, and cardiology pharmacists. The IV NP will be initiating and managing IV infusion treatments, monitoring patient responses, and coordinating ongoing cardiovascular care. The IV NP will triage cardiology-related consultation infusion requests from the Emergency Department, outpatient clinics, and inpatient teams and help determine appropriate outpatient follow-up or HF infusion clinic care. The IV NP will also support patients receiving advanced treatments such as subcutaneous therapies for amyloid cardiomyopathy and other cardiology related infusion therapies. Outpatient clinic sessions may be incorporated on days that infusions are not scheduled.
Required Skills
For both positions, we are seeking applicants with strong clinical judgment and ability to manage patients autonomously within defined protocols. Expectations include participation in care coordination including, scheduling, post-treatment follow-up, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, ECGs, echo) to guide treatment decisions. Both positions report to the Heart Failure Director, Chief APP, and Division Chief. Prior cardiology and heart failure clinical experience is preferred. Job Description
The Department of Nursing at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach classroom and clinical courses in our DNP - Family NursePractitioner program. These courses are taught both on campus and in the clinical setting.
The openings are for three different position focuses:
* Teaching didactic courses in a hybrid format, such as advanced pharmacology, integrative primary care, and advanced pathophysiology.
* Mentoring and advising students in their DNP scholarly projects.
* Teaching clinical courses, focusing on site visits and an opportunity to precept students in the clinical setting.
In addition to teaching online and face-to-face courses and evaluating student competency, instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email and support student success.
Each fall or spring course requires 10-12 hours per week for 15-16 weeks.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Masters degree in nursing if applying to teach in the clinical instructor position in the FNP track
* Licensed and unencumbered registered nurse in the State of Minnesota or eligible for RN licensure in Minnesota.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Demonstrated passion for functional medicine/integrative health, transcultural nursing, or community health
* Academic preparation and teaching experience in nursing education.

Job Description
Augsburg University's CCNE-accredited Doctor of Nursing Practice - Family NursePractitioner (DNP-FNP) program is a post-BSN Doctor of Nursing Practice program track focused on preparing nurses for the advanced practice role of family nursepractitioner. We are inviting applications for a core faculty position (non-tenure track) to begin in May 2026. The Doctor of Nursing Practice - Family NursePractitioner (DNP-FNP) track prepares nurses with a prior bachelor's or master's degree in nursing for advanced nursing leadership and the clinical role of providing integrative primary care to individuals and families across cultures and care settings. The FNP track emphasizes eliminating barriers to health through peaceful, just, and collaborative actions that uphold and improve human potential. Graduates are eligible to apply for certification as Family NursePractitioners (FNPs) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Academy of NursePractitioners (AANP).
Preferred candidates will be committed to teaching and mentoring in the DNP-FNP track of the DNP program. Responsibilities for this full-time position (11-month appointment, 0.75) will include teaching, academic advising, supervision of student DNP projects, and service to the university. Preferred candidates will also have experience providing care for diverse populations in primary care, integrative care, or functional medicine. Classes are offered mostly during weekdays, with occasional evening classes. The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching and developing online courses within the FNP track and MSN core curriculum, as well as fulfilling faculty expectations for participation in departmental service and appropriate scholarship
Examples of Duties
Teaching:
Teaching responsibility of 15 credit hours per academic year within the nursepractitioner area of specialty. A course release of one course will be given to allow time for track supervision.
Coordination:
* Ensure that the FNP track aligns with academic and clinical practice in the given area.
* Provide consultation and oversight of the delivery of the prescribed curriculum for all faculty teaching in the track.

Scholarship and Professional Activity:
All nursing faculty are expected to maintain currency within their professional areas of expertise and to participate in scholarly activities as defined by the Faculty Handbook. Up to one day per work week may be negotiated for professional consultation, research, or clinical practice to maintain active nursepractitioner licensure.
Service:
All nursing faculty members are expected to actively participate in MSN program and school meetings, development days, and activities. Service on School, College, and/or University committees as appointed by the Dean of the College.
Student Advising:
All nursing faculty maintain student office hours and advise nursing students each year, as assigned, following the policies and procedures documented in the Husson Faculty Advising Manual.
Other expectations:
