Essential Functions
Development of training and professional development materials: Develop and implement professional development strategy; create materials designed for educators, families, and practitioners. Materials may include instructional videos, web tools, asynchronous courses, and other media, on topics ranging from test preparation for educators, intervention strategies for practitioners, and statistical tools for researchers. 25%
Science communication: Direct efforts to strategically plan, organize and manage the Center's strategy for communicating research evidence in a range of outlets including social media, webinars, and publicly available articles. Collaborate with Center Directors to identify and develop priorities for science communications. 25%
Web Presence and Communications: Oversee strategic efforts to grow and enhance web presence (website, social media, branding, contact management). 25%
Provide oversight and mentorship to all members of the deaf center in creating and developing training and outreach materials. 25%
Required Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in education, STEM, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience providing training and outreach.
Fluency in American Sign Language.
Knowledge of best practices in science communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Education, STEM, or related field.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 annually.

About the Opportunity
Under the guidance of the Chair, the Administrative Officer provides administrative support for the operation of the English Department. Boston Medical Center Department of Pediatrics is seeking Physician Assistants (PA) or Nurse Practitioners (NP) to be part of a team of Advance Practice Providers (PAs and NPs) who provide care under the supervision of an intensivist physician to critically-ill patients in both our Level III Neonatal ICU (22 beds) and Pediatric ICU (4 beds). The NICU is staffed 24/7 by an in-house intensivist providing direct supervision to APPs. The PICU is staffed by pediatric intensivists who are in-house during the day and may be at home or in-house overnight depending on acuity and the needs of the patients and unit. APPs overlap with Boston Children's combined residents to provide frontline care to our patients.
We are seeking energetic team players to join our staff. Experience in the NICU or PICU is not required, but preferred. A full-time equivalent equates to 40 hours/week including administrative time. Administrative time includes handoffs, division meetings and involvement in unit-based projects. Both fulltime and part-time candidates welcome. Clinical shifts are centered around nights and weekends. Following training in both the NICU and PICU, the APP will be assigned shifts in both locations. At no time will an APP care for patients in both units during a single shift.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interviewing patients and families and performing physical examination (including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories).
* Developing a problem list, differential diagnosis and treatment. Recommending options and courses of action for patient care
* Determining abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic test, such as X-rays and laboratory studies and by interpreting test results.
* Placing and modifying care orders
* Completing documentation for admission, daily and discharge notes
* Interfacing with multidisciplinary team members (i.e. nursing, respiratory therapy, dietary, case management, etc.)

Serve as a principal administrative reviewer of JD, FlexJD and LLM law school applications.
Make initial decision recommendations based on holistic assessment of each applicant's experience, personal background, academic record, and other indicators of potential for success in the study of law.
Assist the SeniorDirector of Admissions and Financial Aid with hiring and training of part-time admissions interviewers.
Serve as program lead for Special initiatives/project and transfer and PlusJD applicants, including program and application review and decision tracking.
Data Management (5%)
Report and extract data from external sources through a web interface, sharing data with internal departments through internal data sharing procedures,
Advise Associate Dean and Senior Director of Admissions and Financial Aid on issues pertaining to archiving annual application data
Assist in building data sources for external surveys such as the ABA annual questionnaire.
Update multiple law school applications each year.
Recruitment Planning and Admissions Counseling (45%)
Educate prospective students about the law school's academic programs, community, and admission requirements for all programs in an informative, accurate, and friendly manner.
Serve as the back up for inquiries from prospective students.
Meet with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students for all programs and provide guidance about the law school admission process and financial aid.
Represent the law school at local, regional, and national law student recruitment events.
Create and deliver presentations about Northeastern Law, admissions, and financial aid at both on- and off-campus at events, such as law school information fairs, LSAC Forums, diversity events, and events hosted by pre-law groups and advisors.
Assists in the outreach to undergraduate advisors to create and maintain robust recruitment pipelines, including the PlusJD program.
Other Essential Duties (5%)
Overseeing the Sr Enrollment Counselor and will serve as backup for leading campus tours and answering admissions phone line and responding to e-mails in the general admissions inbox.
Assist the Associate Director of Marketing with event planning and execution as needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor in support of the Law School's mission and the department meeting its goals.

Students are expected to design and develop a professional-quality mobile application that addresses a real-world problem in an innovative way. Computer Systems: This course will cover all the basics of operating systems: program loading, context switching, threads and synchronization, virtual memory, and block devices and file systems. Cloud Computing: This practical course covers fundamentals of cloud computing, including virtualization and containers, distributed file systems and object stores, infrastructure-as-a-service platforms, open-source cloud platforms, key big data platforms, and topics in data center scale systems. Combines lessons, practical work on AWS and other cloud provider provided platforms, readings from literature, and completing practice-oriented training. Uses AWS as an exemplar.
