Active Colorado Department of Education (DOE) certification as an SLPA. Experience working in a school setting, preferably with K-12 populations. Strong interpersonal communication skills, compassion, patience, adaptability, and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising speech-language pathologists and school personnel. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with parents, staff, and community leaders. Must be physically able to perform the basic life operational functions of kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion. Must possess hand and finger dexterity for accurate input and output of computer data. Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word. This position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
