Job Description BA Interns at our Walk In Crisis Center (WIC) will have the opportunity to observe and learn from AllHealth Network clinicians in a crisis setting. The WIC BA intern will receive full spectrum exposure to working with a diverse population of clients in crisis. This placement is located at our Walk In Crisis Center on the Acute Care Campus in Littleton, Colorado. The BA intern will gain experience working with clients requiring higher levels of care and intervention due to their symptoms. Prospective interns should have special interest in crisis counseling, suicide prevention, risk assessment, and be open to working with clients experiencing psychosis, mania, personality disorders, and co-occurring substance use. This is a high acuity setting and interns will need to follow all agency policies and be very adaptable. Under the supervision of a Bachelor level clinician the intern will support the WIC team by completing prescreening assessment to assist in determining the level of care and support needed. This includes risk assessment, case management, referrals and coordination of care with team members and other providers. Providing trauma informed care, crisis intervention and de-escalation with clients. Interns will support in processing internal and external referrals for placement to the Acute Treatment Unit and Crisis Stabilization Unit.
