The Role: Reporting directly to the Mining Supervisor, the Lead Man position is based at P&K Stone LLC's Chico Texas Plants. The Lead Man shall assist the Mining Supervisor and Plant Manager in leading day-to-day activities in all phases of the process to include safety efforts, quality control and maintenance in our fixed plant operations.
What You'll Do:
Promote Safety- Take an active role prioritizing safety for yourself and others to ensure all assigned plants have zero accidents and are in total compliance with all P&K Stone policies and procedures and MSHA Regulations.
Organize and Plan Production- Plan the daily operation scheduling of production to ensure optimal utilization of plant and pit equipment, personnel and inventory requirements, and work procedures regarding processing, stockpiling, loading and shipping of raw and finished materials. Responsible for all aspects of the process and maintenance of the plant.
Monitor Processes and Materials- Analyze production and quality control to ensure a quality product is received by our customers.
Maintenance- The Lead Man shall also inspect equipment pre-and post-shift, assist and organize the work of employees in the daily inspection and maintenance of plant and heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruption to process.
Operate Equipment- Experienced is operating loaders, graders, haul trucks, excavators, skid steers and dozers.

Experience Required:

What You'll Do:
Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
